poetry - book two
for her beautiful eyes
were as dark as her name, ebony.
so no matter how hard one tries,
one could never catch a glimpse
of the soul behind those eyes.

i am walking on the edge of a cliff. i wonder what happens if i get too close to it.
but whenever i do trip and almost fall, all i need is to call my new friend.
and maybe he can't lead me away from the cliff. but i only need him to catch me before i fall off it.

and that is the end of my second book of poetry. though ebony may not be happy, at least she has someone to catch her when she falls. i hope that one day, she can get away from the cliff and dance without being scared of falling off it.
thank you so much for reading this! i wrote it because i like to remind myself how lucky i am because i can dance far away from the cliff. i love my life and writing something so sad and deep reminds me to treasure it, because we never know how long we have something.
i've decided to leave the "dark" series a duology. i am not going to publish another book to make it a trilogy. at least for now.
but this doesn't mean that i'll be abandoning poetry. no, i will definitely write some more. i've been writing down my own thoughts and maybe - just maybe - i'll publish them.
again, thanks so much for reading! have a nice day! love, amy
