The hardest thing about leaving home is all the memories you make. I have made lots of happy memories, also have made some bad.
Driving down the quiet road is so peaceful. While driving I pass the New York welcome sign, and I'm finally here. I've been driving for a long time from North Carolina to New York.
Driving through the city lights feels like a dream. How it shines through the rainy road, how it reflects the windows of buildings and cars, that I drive by. I watch people walk by, crossing the roads like they have nine lives. I spot how tall the buildings are, how they growing over my head.
I finally make it to my new home. I park my car in front of the apartment building. Stepping out my car, feeling how the rain hits my face. It’s calm and gentle. How the breeze, just blows by, so quietly. I take a moment to allow myself to enjoy this time. This is my new home now.

I walk to the trunk of my car taking out all my bags and luggage out. I bring my stuff upstairs to my new apartment. Standing at the number 345. I take a deep breath in and unlock the door. Stepping in. The room is dark. I turn the light on and place my bags down, closing the door behind me. Walking around the place: The wall are grey, and the floor is wooden. The lights shines in the right spots. It’s not to dark, nor to light. I step into each room, the living room is big, the walls plain white, and the floor is a misty black carpet, across the living room, are large windows, I can see the whole city from up here, it's beautiful.
I stand by the window. Staring out, admiring the night sky, and the city's glow. How the rain gently hits the window. Making a calm rhythm.

I walk to main bedroom, the only thing there is a blow-up mattress. I bring my bags to my new bedroom, dropping them by the closest.  I lay down on the mattress feeling exhausted from that car journey. My eyes gradually shut.

Waking up to the sun blinding me. I sit up and get off the mattress. I stretch my arms.
Today I have a meeting for a job interview. I've been going to medical school for 4 years and this may be my chance to finally achieve my dream of being a doctor.

I walk towards the closet taking out, a white blouse and jeans. I put on my shoes and coat, grabbing my phone and keys, Before I exit the apartment.
I get into my car and start heading towards the hospital for the interview
