The next day, after the welcome party, it was time for the company dinner. I left with Mel and Andrew. We entered the reserved floor the company booked. With it's semi circled booths, a bar, and it's dimed lightning it almost looked like a club.
Mel and Andrew went straight towards the bar while I made an excuse and went to the bathroom. This is where it starts. Sierra ended up drinking too much, and ended up going to a hotel with, the also drunk, CEO. They almost slept together but Sierra was scared of losing her virginity and cried so they stopped. She didn't remember any of it other than the dreams she would occasionally have about the night. It bothered her not knowing if she did or didn't sleep with someone but it was later revealed that she didn't.
I sighed loudly. Even thinking about it made me shudder. This is something I do NOT want happening.
This detail counted towards the plot a lot though, because that's how he remembered her when he saw her at the company.
Usually girls would die to sleep with a "rich and handsome" man like him. So he became curious about Sierra since she was different, and that's why they started running into each other so much.
So if I just don't get drunk, then I won't go to a hotel with him, and if I don't go to the hotel with him, he won't be interested in me.
I left the bathroom full of hope, but untimely, I didn't know at that tim that the plot would be harder to change then I thought. I ended up sitting at a table with manager Victor, sitting across from me. He's the type that will keep pouring you drinks until you pass out.
Actually, know that I think of it, he was the one responsible for Sierra getting drunk in the first place. How could I forget a detail like that! Well, probably because I finished the entire novel in three hours. I always knew my fast reading would one day be my curse.
"Haha, you can actually hold your liquor!" He laughed, while pouring me another drink. I downed that drink easily, but under the surface I was already feeling the effects. Where's the male lead when you need him. If Andrew was here he'd do some heroic stuff like drinking my drink for me instead, while saying something like, "Don't force yourself to drink so much." with a smile that just says he likes me.
As he kept pouring my drink while complaining about today's generation. The room started getting dizzy as I poured the burning liquor down my throat.
That was my last memory before I woke up in a bright room. My memory was pretty blurred. I kinda remember a man in a suit, and the way his hand felt around my hip. Wait...what am I thinking about right now?!
I practically jumped out of the bed. I looked around in horror. It was just as I thought, I'm in a hotel room. I quickly felt around my body, realizing I still had on my black dress and from yesterday, thank God.
Everything felt pretty dry down there. I looked around on the bed and in the trash for a c*condo or a used tissue or something, but the blanket and sheets were clean. I sighed in relief. "I didn't sleep with him! Thank God!" I cheered. I hurried and grabbed my stuff and then left the room in a rush.
As I entered the lobby I got a call from Melany. "Hi, what's up?" I sat down on one of the sofa's in the sitting area. "Where are you girl? You disappeared during the party."
"Oh, I just..." I trailed off. There's no believable excuse to give. I might as well tell the truth. "I don't remember much about last night and I woke up in a hotel this morning."
"Wait, so did you, y'know?" Her voice went hush at the last part. "No, I didn't sleep with him...at least I don't think I did. Actually I'm positive nothing happened." I said confidently. "Okay...but, usually two people don't go to a hotel together and just sit around and talk about their feelings. Who did you go with anyway?"
