ZEHRA

Taara approached near me, Abhiraj's eyes on everyone but neither on Daiwik or me, he feels scarce talking to people beneath his standards and treating us with respect. His eyes travelled to Daiwik finally, "Daiwik, let's discuss the situation here?" He said work talk and Taara's eyes were left on him with such pure displeasure.

"Always on duty! Do you realize how lonely the other person feels?" Taara revolted, Abhiraj's eyes darkened and slowly the realisation crept in that she is talking about themselves indirectly, both of them stared at each other.

Both of them married because the situation demanded them to, and it is hard but they are trying to settle in.

She took her eyes away, and stared at her feet, before she looked up at me with a smile, "Do whatever you want!" She said, and he sigh harshly shaking his head, "You are the one who pushes me away Taara! I'm sorry if my work is protecting me from the complete solitude you gift me!" He said angrily, and Taara smirked,

"You have something to protect you from solitude but do you realise your protection from being alone is isolating me?"

He breath-out, chuckling looking at the sky before he came down, "What do you want me to do Taara? Stay at home? When I am home, you say you can't tolerate looking at me! Do you think I can endure looking at you watching me with such hatred? If you hate me, I hate that look too!" he said and dragged Daiwik away with himself.

Her face turned to me, not a single drop of tear, or pain overcasting her, she was just blank, completely emotionless. "I am sorry you had to see that!" She apologized, but I shook my head, "Daiwik must have told you? About us?" She asked me,

"No, he doesn't talk about work or anything related."

"I am guessing he is honest and loyal." She said drifting from reality into slumber in her mind, I caught her hand, surprised and overcame on her face, she just smiled in response and took the hand away.

"So, how did you and Daiwik meet? By your name, I am guessing it was not arranged marriage?" She guessed, and I nodded, reminding myself of the plot I was given to frame for the world, to hide that I was a reward, not a wife.

"It was nothing special, we met the at brothel, fell in love and here we are," I said, her eyes gleaming.

"Which brothel?" She asked, and I just bite down my tongue, the name dreads my soul, I still remember the way to that Haveli, when the auto-rickshaw pulled in front of that haveli, where men were attained outside.

The more I moved inside, the women with extreme make-up and revealing clothes came into sight, the dance arena, everything as vivid as yesterday.

"Chandravani Haveli," I said, her eyes widening. But she did not further inquire me, for th, at she knows my heart will be dragged down if anymore the remainder of my past will beinquireraboutd.

I appreciated her understanding, "I have a sister,"

"I am aware, Aamira Aapi," I said and she smiled,

"All my life I always knew I was never alone, I will forever have her, and she is in London right now. So I am left all alone. And I understand his work pressure, so I was hoping to try and blend in this world. But the closer I get to those people, the more my skin burns under their watchful gaze." I was told,
