"Vamos Lulah!" Chayanne called, climbing over a large log that had fallen. "Your too Slow!" "Am not!" She yelled back. "OOH!" She then cried as she fell from the log. "Amapola." Wilbur said lifting her over the log. "ten cuidado." "Si Papa! Gracias." She called, not slowing down and running full speed towards Chayanne. "Look what I found Lulah! Look! Look!" He yelled, a tone of awe in his voice. "What Chayanne? What did you...woah." the field that stood before them was absolutely drenched in poppies. You couldn't see the grass there was so many. Tallulah gave a squeal of excitement, she had never seen so many poppies before in her life. "Papa! I think I found the perfect place for el picnic." "Actually, I found it." Chayanne said in a-matter-of-fact voice. As Wilbur and Phil stepped over to meet them. "Great let's...oh Dios mío! Tallulah. I have never seen so many Amapola en mi vida!" "Coming Lulah!" Chayanne yelled back, grabbing a blue basket with ducks on it and speeding off after her. They picked Poppies 'till the sun went down. They played tag, waded in the river, caught fireflies and overall had the best time. Tallulah was lying with her head on Wilbur's lap, humming to herself as he stroked her hair. He began pointing out constellations to her. Tallulah raised her hands in the air and began tracing out the stars with her fingers. She let her hands fall to her side, and curled up on her fathers lap. "Papa?" "Si Tallulah?" "Thank you, for a great day." "No Mi Amapola. Thank you." Will whispered as her eyes drooped. Chayanne who had been 'fighting' the tree with his sword came back over to Phil and plopped down next to him, panting and sweating. "Ready to go home?" He asked as Chayanne nodded, exhausted. "Let's go." Phil picked up the picnic basket and took Chayanne's hand as Wilbur carried the fast asleep six year old. Her basket, full to the brim with poppies
By his side. Phil ended up having to carry Chayanne home and when they reached Phils door, he was exhausted. "See you tomorrow mate." Phil panted, trying to open the door and haul Chayanne upstairs. "Night." Will called, quietly back. As he sat off down the road Tallulah, snoring quietly in his arms. The stars gleaming brightly above his head.
