His Eyes

Me

Well my name is Clair I just moved from California exactly a year ago it was June 8th when I got on a plane to move to Utah where I am now. The second we landed I went to the house we were renting and some of my neighbors 2 little twin boys to be exact knocked and asked to use our soccer ball but all we had was a volleyball still they asked to use it so I let them, and for the rest of the day I stayed inside practicing doing makeup and hair. The next day I was gonna play volleyball ball with my siblings my very violent 17 year old brother Trey and my 14 year old sister AJ well I have another brother but he's married with a baby so I'll talk about him later. So I went over to my neighbors house, and a girl answered the door she had black hair that covered one eye. She answered the door and said "What do you want" so I said "your brothers said you had my volleyball" she replied "I don't so um bye" so I left and we didn't really talk that entire summer accept one day when I want over to ask again if she had my ball she said " here" and tossed it so hard that when it hit my stomach it really hurt, so I never really talked to her Until the first day of school when I decided to walk because I only lived half a mile away. I saw my neighbor leaving her house so I walked up we started talking and ended up walking together. It turns out we had a lot in common. We became really close friends. When I got to school I went to first period theater and ended up sitting across from some nice girls named Sarah, Tiffany, and Alice we all became pretty close talking about boys and drama. One of the first things Alice said was she had a boyfriend he was "amazing, Hot, sweet" unlike her ex but she never gave me a name she would always say "Him" and so I ignored it till next class now at our school in between 1 and 2 period we have advisory. So I went to advisory and in the class there were some cute guys but one got my attention he had beautiful blond hair, a geeky laugh, a cute smile, and gorgeous blue eyes they were not just blue they were blue with a dash of brown but not a dark boring brown it was a light beautiful brown we talked for a while but I never got his name. When I next saw Alice in the hall she was talking to shaylee so I walked up and tried to introduce myself but she kind of turned away then Alice looked at her like turn yourself around and talk, so she did she said " hi I'm shaylee" so I replied "im Clair" while I was talking "He" came up behind Alice and said "hi I'm Alice's boyfriend I'm Cody what's your name???" So I replied or tried to say "I'm Clair" what came out was " I uh um I uh eh uh um Clair" so then I became pretty close with that group of friends there were 7 of us me, Alice who had cool black hair and was obsessed with talking about boys, Shaylee who had bright blond hair and was super tall,Jake who was kinda weird but cool , Reese was funny and had a Mohawk , jayson who was kinda short but hilarious , and Cody who had the most amazing eyes ever. we all became really close I told them everything.

Me and the "Squad" as we called it were hanging out and as we were in the sun. All I could look at were Cody's eyes, the blue sparkled in the light and the brown was so beautiful like stunning I couldn't look away from his eyes his amazing eyes his gorgeous eyes. When I zoned back into reality I realized the group was talking about food and I thought it was kinda funny. They were talking about Swiss rolls and the way shaylee acts when she eats them she acts like she's high it's hilarious with her bright blond hair going side to side when she skips and well she is like 5 or 6 inches taller than me so it's really funny to watch her jump and skip. After that topic they started talking about Alice's style how she always wears black leggings never just pants or shorts always leggings and usually a red shirt it's kinda funny realizing things people do. like when she talks she flips her hair. we started talking about everybody like how jake thinks he's so cool and hot and the dopey smiles he makes when he sees a pretty girl his ears go out and he starts to blush it is really funny. We talked about how Reese always has his hair the same and if somebody touches it he gets really offended like if someone touches his hair even the slightest touch will make it look like he is having a seizure he freaks out hits your hands his face turns red and it's really funny. Jayson likes to push people and run like it's in a playful manner and it doesn't hurt but it's funny he will slightly shove someone and bolt no matter who it is it could be a 4 year old and he would still run as fast as he can. Then we began talking about me so I thought oh no oh crap I'm about to get roasted when Coby sooks over and brushes the hair out of my eyes and said " Clair has the coolest eyes " I was shocked because my eyes are hazel but then he said "Had anybody noticed how they change color?" And yeah it was true my eyes do change color pretty often actually one day they will be dark brown and the next day gold or even green, and sometimes blue but then everyone started laughing and saying different things like Alice said she hates my kind of music and Shaylee said she likes singing with me. I just love my friends but during these conversations the one thing that kept catching my eyes were his eyes his beautiful eyes.

One night me and Cody were hanging out because we had become really close we were best friends and we started texting Alice's ex boyfriend he asked if Cody and Alice had kissed yet and well they hadn't so we decided to lie and say that they had to make him jealous . That pissed off Alice she was so pissed off that she broke up with Cody. He was sitting next to my crying and I had no idea what to do so I said "I love you Cody I seriously love you" he said "I love you 2" I got so happy I said "really I mean really???" He said "yeah as my best friend you mean so much to me" I tried not to cry as he was crying I tried to stay strong and save face I tried my best and it worked but I could tell he knew my laughter was fake. He can always tell when I'm acting but he still took my comfort and love he always would so I decided to give up on the idea that we would ever date I mean I loved him and always will but at that moment it was hurting me more than it was helping me.

He agreed to help me and my friends audition for the talent show because to make our dance more dramatic we would need guys to lift the girls and then lay infront what i didn't expect was that he would want to be partners with kylie who's hair by the way started getting very blond after the summer so I didn't think she was his type but he started liking Kylie he had no idea how much that hurt me no idea how jealous I was and that was the worst problem he didn't notice because he didn't care about me the way I wanted him to the way I needed him to. Instead he cared about Kylie after a month of their flirting he asked her out and of course she said yes because who could say no to that face with those eyes. He broke up with her after 2 hours he said he was still is love with Alice who at this time had already gotten back together with her ex boyfriend so that didn't end well Kylie was hurt and she was still my friend so I comforted her during the breakup which I thought was idiotic because they had been dating for 2 hours. since coby was my best friend I could tell him that he had acted like trash see he broke up with Kylie over snapchat so I said "what the hell Coby don't act like such a douche I know ur really nice but she doesn't all she sees is the side that broke up with her not the Great guy that you are" and yet he never apologized. well he kind of did he said "I'm sorry that we broke up" but he didn't apologize for breaking up with her I guess it's different but at the same time it means the same thing doesn't it??? Well I have no idea.

The next morning I came downstairs and saw his best friend sleeping on our couch I walked up to my brother and said "why is he sleeping on our couch" he replied "his life at home sucks so were giving him a place to stay for a while" I could never remember his name so I would always try to listen and wait for one of them to say it I later figured out that his name was Liam.
