Hi! I'm AC! This story happened after the COVID-19 pandemic, also after I experienced the identity-crisis that they said during the pandemic times.
"Nagsimula ang lahat sa Litmatch"
"After I downloaded it"
One night, as I was scrolling through Litmatch, I stumbled upon a profile that caught my attention. His name was Reign, and his picture showed a boy with mesmerizing eyes and a smile that could light up a room. Intrigued, I decided to swipe right and see if he would match with me.
To my surprise, we matched! Excitement filled my veins as I nervously messaged him, trying to come up with something witty and interesting to say. Luckily, he responded, and we started chatting.
As days turned into weeks, my conversations with Reign grew deeper and more meaningful. We would talk about our dreams, our fears, and everything in between. He quickly became my confidante, someone I could share my thoughts and feelings with.
But there was one problem - we lived in different cities, miles apart. It seemed like fate was playing a cruel joke on us, keeping us from meeting in person. Yet, our connection was so strong that neither of us wanted to give up.
One day, Reign confessed his feelings to me, and he invited me to court through virtual.
Medyo sabog at tulala pa ako nan that time
I agreed wholeheartedly.
As the call connected, I felt nervous and shy, as if I was going on a real date or he saw me.
For hours, we talked, laughed, and enjoyed each other's company through the screen. It felt surreal but also incredibly special. As the virtual date came to an end, we both knew that something beautiful was blossoming between us.
Weeks turned into months, and our virtual dates became a regular occurrence. We would watch movies together, play games, and even cook meals simultaneously. It was an unconventional way of getting to know someone, but it felt natural and genuine.
Despite the distance, Reign and I were unable to be determined to meet in person.
The day came, we created memories that would last a lifetime, and fell even deeper in love. It was a time of pure bliss, the kind you only read about in fairy tales.
The next day, around seven o'clock, he sent me a message and confessed his feelings for me. I immediately admitted my own feelings too. I was pleasantly surprised because he wanted us to be together. I felt like melting that night, it was so sweet. Things progressed quickly and we officially entered into a relationship.
I was so nervous because it was my first time being in a relationship, so I didn't know much about it. Thankfully, he was kind and understanding.
"Sino yan?" my sister asked.
I was taken aback when she saw me smiling and laughing while texting, especially since it was a guy I was chatting with. I was a little nervous, but I just told her, "Oh, it's nothing."
Despite everything that happened that day, my sister started to have some suspicions.
"Every time Reign gets mentioned, I can't stop laughing like I'm in a thrilled mood ."
When I got home, he kept me updated on everything. We talked for a while, and I actually made it home by 2pm. I guess now you're all caught up too, haha.
When he told me about his condition, I was initially confused and didn't fully understand what it meant. So, I took research on google and educate myself about bipolar disorder. I wanted to be able to support him and understand what he was going through.
As I delved into my research, I discovered that bipolar disorder is a chronic illness that requires ongoing management and treatment.
Medication, therapy, and lifestyle changes are often used to help stabilize mood swings and manage the symptoms.
Understanding his condition allowed me to empathize with him better. I realized that he might have moments of intense highs and lows, and it was important for me to be patient, supportive, and non-judgmental during those times.
We would have open conversations about his feelings, his experiences, and any challenges he was facing due to his bipolar disorder. It became a way for us to connect on a deeper level, and I admired his strength and resilience in dealing with his condition.
It wasn't always easy, and there were times when he would go through difficult episodes. But we faced those challenges together, and I was determined to stand by him no matter what.
Our relationship became a source of strength and support for both of us. Despite his bipolar disorder, we were able to have a loving and fulfilling relationship. We learned to navigate the ups and downs together, and it only made our bond stronger.
I realized that loving someone with bipolar disorder meant accepting and loving all aspects of them, including their condition. It taught me the importance of compassion, patience, and understanding in a relationship.
And through it all, I was grateful for the opportunity to be there for him and to love him unconditionally.
Btw, "Bipolar disorder" is a mental health condition characterized by extreme mood swings, ranging from manic episodes of high energy, euphoria, and impulsiveness to depressive episodes of sadness, hopelessness, and low energy. People with bipolar disorder may also experience periods of stability in between these episodes.
"After a month - before our month anniversary"
Eventually, it's unexpected that our time together came to an end, and it was time to say goodbye. However, Reign asked me if I wanted him to sing a song for me, of course I agreed, as I heard his voice that was so It's thrilling to hear.
He sang a song titled "I Love You So" but while crying. After all that happened, I felt a little teary and sad because we're going to end our relationship at the time.
At the last minute, we told each other to be strong for the new journey that we would be passed out.Furthermore,
" Litmatch had not only brought me Reign, but it had also shown me the power of connection and love in the most unexpected of circumstances."Now, as I reflect on that teenage mistake turned into a serendipitous journey, I realize that sometimes the greatest adventures come from taking risks and stepping outside of our comfort zones. And in the end, it's these moments that shape us and remind us of the beautiful possibilities that lie within our grasp..
