Fear
As we danced, you held me close,
Too close.
I pushed you away,
But you came back.
Holding me too close.
Fear ran through my veins
I pushed you back again.
I told you to back off.
You said that was just
the way you danced.
I didn’t care.
I just wanted you to leave me alone.
After we danced, I sat down,
You came over and sat too.
You tried to hold my hand
I wouldn’t let you.
You finally left, and so did my fear!
