A week and a half has passed and yet a promise was awaiting to be fulfilled. Although the latter understood that it was a busy time, they were still looking forward to it. Kalix this time was determined to keep that promise today as he entered their classroom, an average looking room at best. The chairs all had arm rests and was arranged with three columns and four chairs on each row. The chairs were divided by two aisles with a total of thirty six chairs in the classroom. Kalix was seated in the middle column near the aisle and on the fourth row. He knew it was a bit far form Caleb as he was seated near the front on the second row of the first column to the left facing the blackboard. This would make it hard for them to talk to each other so he decided to come to school early to chat with him. "Guess I beat him to it" he smirks. "I'll have time to tune my guitar now" he happily thought as he got to work. Not even far from finished he heard footsteps approaching the door and hoped it was just another random student but he also knew that Caleb goes to school really early as he asked a few friends who the first to school is the prior night.

Caleb entered the room and immediately noticed Kalix "oh, you're here early" he told him as he made his way to his seat to place his bag. "And you're later than usual" he grinned as he continued to tune his guitar, satisfied with the feeling that he beat Caleb as the first one to arrive. Caleb couldn't help but smile as he walked over to Kalix "well good morning to you" he greeted as he sat down on a chair near to him. "You too" Kalix smiled back as he continued his work. For a  moment there was silence, only the sound of the guitar being tuned, the birds outside the school, the crickets, the rustling leaves, and the crashing waves could be heard. Yet it wasn't a deafening silence to either of them as they both found it rather relaxing.

Caleb had his eyes fixated to what Kalix was doing as they exchanged silent glances every now and then. Just as they were getting used to the silence it was interrupted by a loud voice entering the classroom. "GOOD MORNING PEOPLE!" another guy entered namely Kit Gonzales. Much like everyone he had short black hair however his seemed to have not been dried yet as if he just came out of the bath. The fairly tall male entered the room loudly and Kalix covered his ears in annoyance. "C'mon why are you shouting" Kalix complained as he felt that he wasn't only loud but he also ruined the moment. "Oh, sorry. Did I disturb you" he apologized as quick as he entered. Kalix didn't say anything further and just sighed as he continued to tune his guitar. Caleb found it rather entertaining as he laughed off Kalix's response to Kit's loud greeting.

Caleb turned to Kit and greeted him back "morning to you too, by the way have you seen Cleo?" "That guy? He's probably sleeping" he laughed as if he was teasing Cleo but Caleb didn't mind, he knew the two of them are also good friends. "No seriously where is he" he said as he shared Kit's humor. "Alright I was kidding he's on his way" he admitted as he placed his bag on his seat at the left column of the second to the last row. "He still always arrives last huh?" "Aren't you used to it by now" Caleb and Kit laugh it off as Kalix observed them. He thought that the three of them were rather good friends and probably knew each other since their elementary days. It was something he couldn't relate to as he transferred to the school during senior high school and only got to know Caleb now.

Kalix didn't fuss over it anymore at the moment and focused on what he was doing. It was taking him longer than expected as he keeps getting distracted by Caleb and Kit's conversations but pretends he's busy with his guitar as he doesn't want to butt in when they don't want him to. Caleb however noticed that it's been a while and some people have already entered the room yet Kalix was still working hard. He went to his bag and took out a bottle of water as he made his way to Kalix again. "Here, you must be thirsty by now you've been working hard haven't you?" he smiled at him ever so gently and Kalix couldn't help but smile. It's true that it's a struggle sometimes to tune your guitar but it's not really as difficult as Caleb makes it out to be to the point that he'd get thirsty. Regardless he took the bottle and drank half of it before looking at Caleb once more. He smiled and reached Caleb's head as he messes up his hair as if he was giving his pet a good head rub "thanks" his bright smile seemed to have returned.
