'Ae...'
"Aeth..."
"AETHER!" - ???
The blond male snapped out of his daze, he looked back one last time.
"Ughhhh, come on! You know we gotta leave before the portal closes... I know it's hard but we can't stay in the same place forever, remember what we are right now?" -???
The girl sighed as she took in the blond males face in her hands diverting his attention to her, his eyes focused into the girl's amber jewelled eyes as he tried speaking what was on his mind.
"I know Lumine, we're outlanders who lost our home... but-" - Aether
"No buts! We can come back another time once we're actually stable and can rebuild our homeland to it's original glory. Until then, since I'm the eldest, It's my responsibilty to ensure your safety before anything else." - Lumine
Aether knew that once Lumine made up her mind on something she wouldn't turn back her word that was said once, and when it came to ensuring their safety it was as impossible as trying to reach the end of the universe in a second.
After the considering the fact that his sister wasn't gonna budge he eventually gave in and they both stepped towards the portal. It was a huge golden hue with dashes of purple, as they went closer they could see brighter colors appearing with tall white towers cascading down light shadows.
"Ready?" - Lumine
"Mn, ready!" - Aether
They both took a huge step into the portal and landed on a sturdy white floor which was decorated with tiny intricated designs that of which you would see in a palace, they never really got used to how it felt stepping into portals and teleporting from one world to another.
They both tumbled onto each resulting in one on top of the other like a fallen jingsaw tower.
"Lumine! Get your HEAVY ASS off of me, OH MY GOSH I feel like you just BROKE my rib!!" - Aether
He started whaling, tossing, and turning trying to get his hippo of a sister off of him.
"HEY! That's mean!! I'm not THAT heavy- wait! We're both gonna fall off of this bridge if you don't stop moving like a fish!!" - Lumine
Finally after what felt like an eternity the two got up from their spots and took a minute to fully take in their surrondings, it was exactly like what they saw in the portal except more vivid and clear seeing the beauitful sunrise that came along with it.
As they looked around Lumine spotted a door behind one of the pillars, she grabbed Aether and dragged him towards it, the door had a similar design to the floor and pillars but for some reason it had a red ray of light seeping under from it and a few rotten vines around it.
"Uhm Lumine, that door kind of looks sketchy?" - Aether
"It does... I'll go first to make sure nothing's wrong, you stay here. Okay?" - Lumine
