I walked home, wondering if I should walk over to his house. I grabbed my phone and called him. "Who the fuck is this?" He asked, annoyed. I chuckled a bit before answering. "It's Mia." I said cheerfully. "Oh. Sorry. What's up?" He said in a happier tone. "Hey, can you tell me your address? I wanna come over!" I said, grinning. He told me his address and I started to walk over to his house. "Alright, see you there!" I said delightedly. He seemed pretty excited for me to come over as well.
I got to his house and knocked on the door. I heard his footsteps rushing to the door and turning the knob. "Hey Mia!" He smiled. My eyes lit up, and my smile beamed. I couldn't believe I was at his house. He barely even knew me. I hugged him out of excitement. He blushed and hugged back. He chuckled and smiled. "Well- you wanna go to my room?" I was obviously ecstatic, and he could tell. "I-i would love to!" We walked up to his room, and I sat down on his bed. "Sorry if it's a little dirty." He said apologetically. I smiled. "Oh- it's okay!" I chuckled.
"I know it's not school related, but I've been working on some music." He pulled out his laptop and logged in. He played a clip of a song. "So- do you like it so far?" He smiled. It was piano chords. It was really great. "I love it! Are you still working on it?" I asked gleefully. He looked happy that I liked his music. "Yeah. You wanna see the lyrics?" My grin grew. "Of course!" He pulled up the lyrics. They were a little dark, but I still liked them. His smile lit up the room.
"Wow- thanks. I plan on making a whole album, but- we should get studying." He said, trying to get us on track. I smiled slightly, still wanting to hear his sweet voice talk about music, yet I did wanna get making that essay. "Alright!" I cheerily exclaimed. Tyler brought out some notebook paper and wrote his name on it. I grabbed the pencil that he gave me out of my pocket and wrote my name on it. "First of all, damn, you still have that? Second of all, you have a nice name." He smiled slightly, blushing a bit. I chuckled out of flusteredness and smiled cheesily. "Y-yeah. Thank you." He could tell I was flustered and chuckled a bit.
We started researching and writing the paper. He was a fast writer with good handwriting. We had a few pages done by 8pm. I started to get a call from my mom. "Mia, where the fuck are you?" She yelled at me angrily. "I'm studying at my friend's house- i-i can come home right now if you want!" I cautiously said, trying to hold in the tears and keep my mother calm. "Come home right fucking now or I'll break your fucking phone!" She screamed at me once more. I was sniffling, trying not to cry. Tyler put his hand on my back, trying to calm me down. "A-alright. His house isn't far from ours, so i-i'll try to be back asap." I said, trying to be calm. Tyler looked sympathetic for me while also being angry at my mother. Should I even call her that..? "Get your ass here right now!" A few tears dropped out of my eyes as I tried to respond. "Alright, bye." I whimpered.
"B-bye Tyler.. I'll try to call once I get home." I sighed while I grabbed my stuff. "Ight- bye." He seemed very upset and sympathetic. I ran home, hoping my mother wouldn't yell at me once more. I got home, tears about to run down my face. I wiped them off before I opened the door. "Finally." She rolled her eyes. She slammed the door behind me. "Why the fuck were you gone for so long?!" She screamed, almost spitting in my face. "I-i told you.. i was at my friends house studying.. We were writing an essay." She smacked me hard in my face before yelling at me once more. I held in my tears until I ran upstairs to my room.
I instantly called Tyler with a slight grin on my face, hoping he would pick up. "Hey, Mi-mi." I chuckled at his nickname for me. "What you don't like Mi-mi?" He jokingly said. "I mean- I like it! But what should I call you?" I smiled, awaiting a cute nickname for him. "You can call me Ace or T." I could tell that me and him were both delighted to be talking on the phone together, even though we just talked in real life. "Alright, Ace!" I chuckled. We had a really wonderful conversation. He talked about wanting to have a music career, and I talked about what I should do once I get out of high school and how I wanted to run away and start a new life. I wanted it to be with him, but I don't want him leaving me.
We stayed on the phone until 10, just talking about any topic. His sweet, although tired voice almost putting me to sleep. He yawned. "Well- We should be going to sleep. You wanna come by my house around 12?" He was obviously very tired, and so was I. "Alright." I groaned. "Night."
