Gale's pov:
I cannot believe it! Danielle Symenski is going to be in Bill Nye's newest video. This is completely unfair. I have admired the man for much longer than her, and yet she gained his attention so easily. I will plot revenge if it's the last thing that I do.
I look up the location where they are filming the video and get on my scooter to race there. I park quickly and run through the unlocked doors. There were cameras everywhere, and I felt a little overwhelmed. Suddenly, I see the head of hair that I have admired for years. Bill Nye is talking about something to do with clouds while Danielle sits beside him on a tiny stool. She smiles awkwardly at the camera before looking over at me. Her eyes widen with panic as she realizes who I am.
Danielle and I had been friends once, long ago we shared meals and had tons of sleepovers. The thing that changed it all was when she mentioned that she admired Bill's videos. That was crossing the unsaid boundaries of besties. I shed tears alone in my room before I cut her off completely, and I haven't talked to her in years since.
Now, we face each other. Her eyes are filled with anxiety while mine are filled with rage.
"How dare you!"
Danielle stutters several times before she can answer, "What?"
"I've loved Bill since the first video I saw! I can't believe you stole him!"
"Stole him? Gale, I didn't mean to, I promise! I love him just as much as I love you!"
I pause with that information, Danielle loves me?
no, Danielle could never love me. That wouldn't make sense.
