Under the sunny sky and across the damp streets, I made my way through the shop. With a graceful motion, I hung my coat on the rack, ready for another day dedicated to fulfilling every woman's dream of a perfect wedding dress. For me, a perfect wedding meant finding the perfect husband, someone tall and undeniably handsome. Perhaps not flawless, but near-perfect in my eyes. With a sense of purpose, I glided through the exquisite gowns, ensuring the one to be showcased today was flawlessly prepared. Of course, it was a creation of my own design.

Time seemed to pause momentarily as the bell above the door chimed, announcing the arrival of a tall woman, accompanied by a bearded man who appeared older. Mistakenly assuming him to be her father, a misjudgment quickly corrected when I realized he was, in fact, her fiancé. My initial impression of him was favorable; his kind gesture of holding the door for her had left a positive impression.

The world of weddings and fashion had always fascinated me. I cherished memories of my childhood, dressing up dolls and creating new clothes from whatever materials I could find. This passion led me to pursue a course in fashion, and I was delighted to finally step into the career I had always dreamed of.

"We're here for the fitting, reservation under 'Williams'," the man stated.

"The gown is ready," I replied, leading the tall woman towards the fitting room.

As her eyes beheld the sight of her wedding gown, I noticed a glimmer of joy shining through, almost causing a tear to escape. It was evident that she loved it.

As a designer, my utmost goal was to always fulfill my clients' dreams. This moment would be a special one for them, and they deserved nothing less than a dress that would make them feel like the prettiest bride.

"Thi- This is gorgeous. I can't believe I will wear this," she exclaimed. With a gentle smile, I reassured her, saying,

"I'm glad you like it! Are you ready to try it on?" She simply nodded, anticipation brimming in her eyes.

As she looked at herself in the mirror, tears streamed down her face. Sensing her emotions, I gently asked,

"How do you feel?" She took a moment to compose herself before responding,

"It feels surreal. Just a couple of years ago, I was all alone dealing with my personal issues and now I'm going to marry the man of my dreams."

Moved by her story, I reassured her, "You deserve all the happiness that comes your way. Life might not be easy, but the universe has a way of rewarding those who truly deserve it."

She nodded, wiping away her tears, and continued to share her journey with me. "It wasn't easy, you know. The age gap. I would hear his family and others call me a gold digger because, well, he's rich. But people don't see him the way I do. When I'm with him, he's not just Mr. Williams. He is Robert - sweet, funny, Robert."

I listened attentively, understanding the depth of her connection with him. "Love can truly be a powerful force," I remarked softly. "And when you find someone who loves and supports you unconditionally, it's worth fighting for, regardless of what others may say."

She smiled, gratitude filling her eyes. "Thank you for understanding," she said sincerely. "And thank you for creating this beautiful gown that represents not just my love for him, but also the journey we've been through together."

"Do you have someone special in your life? I don't mean to intrude, so you don't have to share if you'd rather not," she asked in curiosity.

"I might be getting too personal here," she added.

"No, it's perfectly fine," I assured her. "While I don't have a boyfriend, I do have this dream that brings me happiness. That is enough for me," I replied.

"Everyone has their own unique definition of happiness. It's subjective, and not everyone will agree with it. What truly matters is finding happiness within yourself. For me, being with Robert makes me happy. For you, finding fulfillment in this job brings you joy," she said thoughtfully.

"We are two different people, leading different lives and finding happiness in different ways. That's why comparing ourselves to others is unnecessary," she continued.

"You're absolutely right," I agreed.

The dress was finalized and would be delivered for her wedding day.

As she left the fitting room, she approached her soon-to-be husband, radiating pure joy.

 "I'm done," she smiled.

He lovingly asked, "Well, how was it, darling?"

"It was gorgeous. I can't wait for you to be half mine."

With warmth in his voice, he replied, "I'm already yours, love. Always and forever."

She smiled, and I couldn't help but smile too as I watched their interaction. Love was evident whenever they were together.

The couple made their way out of the shop, and I waved goodbye. I couldn't help but feel grateful that my clients allowed me to be part of their journey. It was a privilege to be involved in the process and witness their love. Being able to contribute to their special moments was something I always cherished.

"KEIRA!KEIRA!KEIRA!" my coworker Ava shouted, causing me to feel a rush of worry.

"What happened, Ava?" I asked, concerned about her urgency.

"Did you check our email? About the West and Wattsons Wedding?" she asked, her voice filled with excitement.

I quickly accessed my email and scanned through the messages until I found the one she mentioned. As I read it, my eyes widened in disbelief.

"Oh no... No way!! OMG, OMG, OMG!!" I exclaimed, realizing the significance of the email.

"Did we...?" I trailed off, too overwhelmed to finish my sentence.

"Yes, we did!!" Ava replied with enthusiasm.

Three months ago, news broke about the marriage between the son of the West Family and the daughter of the Wattsons Family. They were now seeking local wedding suppliers, including wedding gowns. This presented an incredible opportunity for us. Both families were influential and among the wealthiest in the country. We had applied and submitted our designs, but deep down, I yearned to secure this client not just for our shop, but for personal growth. I wanted to design high-budget gowns, and this chance could be the stepping stone I needed. Excitedly, I delved into my research, eager to uncover any helpful insights that could elevate our designs. I discovered that the Wattsons Family's daughter had a penchant for elegant and timeless fashion. She often gravitated towards classic silhouettes with intricate details, showcasing her refined taste.

With this newfound knowledge, I carefully incorporated elements of timelessness and sophistication into the wedding gown designs we submitted. I focused on creating pieces that exuded grace and elegance, with tasteful embellishments and luxurious fabrics that would complement the bride's stature and style.

I also took into account the West Family's preferences, knowing that they appreciated opulence and grandeur. To capture their attention, I made sure to infuse the designs with subtle touches of grandeur, such as delicate beading and exquisite embroidery, all while maintaining an air of understated luxury.

Throughout the design process, I kept in mind the importance of personalization. Each gown was crafted with meticulous attention to detail, ensuring that it reflected the unique personality and style of the bride-to-be. From cascading trains to intricately beaded bodices, every element was thoughtfully considered to create a truly unforgettable ensemble.

This opportunity not only held the potential to showcase our skills as wedding gown designers but also allowed me to explore my passion for creating high-end, bespoke gowns. I couldn't help but feel grateful for the chance to be involved in such a momentous occasion. But also with this incredible opportunity at hand, I can't help but feel the weight of expectations. The prospect of countless eyes feasting on the gown I'm about to create is both thrilling and nerve-wracking. Who knows, it might even earn the recognition it truly deserves.
