"You know, calling would have been a better way to catch my attention!" You shout as you swing by Electro, dodging all the flying debris. "This is way too much, even for me!"

"Spider-Man!" The villain hisses, now solely focused on you. You can see how his lightning bolts stop firing off in every direction and instead aim at-

"Shit!" You just barely dodge a bolt of lightning a size of a car. It hurt like a bitch when it was ten times smaller, you don't want to be hit by one of those again. "I mean- damn, who taught you to aim like that, your mother?"

The man's blue face turns purple with anger and he starts to fly after you. Electro keeps on firing the lightning bolts, with one even managing to land a hit. You hiss in pain but keep on going, circling around him.

You land on a nearby building to catch your breath, and the villain stops as well, looking at the other Spider-People who are helping with the evacuation.

"What ploy is this, are you trying to-" He starts but suddenly takes a sharp turn. Miguel flies through the spot the man hovered in just a second ago, all teeth and claws. "Hah! This will not work again, I am prepared this time."

Miguel lands next to you on the building wall, hair tousled as he puts a hand on your shoulder, the place where Electro hit you just a second ago.

"You okay?" He asks.

"Yes, tis but a scratch." You chuckle and he scoffs.

"This is no time for-" Your spider senses tingle and you push him to the side, the two of you narrowly dodging another incoming projectile.

"Do not ignore me, I will kill you both!" Okay, now Electro is pissed.

"Watch out Miguel, I don't wanna lose you this early." He coughs but rolls his eyes at your comment as you swing away. "We're not ignoring you! Not our fault you're so boooring."

Miguel follows right behind you, one hand still clenched around the metallic bracelet. "I hate to say this, but I think you might have to provoke him more. I can't seem to find an opening." You look at him and, sure enough, his expression is full of regret.

"Don't worry, I can do it." You smile at him. "And after we catch him I need to tell you something, okay? It's kind of important." His eyes widen but he nods, taking a sharp turn to disappear from the villain's (and yours) sight.

"Okay Sparky, now I'm all yours!" You connect your web to one of the bigger pieces of flying debris and pull yourself towards it. Electro groans at your mockery and aims another blow, narrowly missing you but blowing the chunk of concrete in the process.

You lose your balance for a second but manage to stick to a nearby crane, somehow still attached to the ground despite the raging storm.

You take a deep breath.

Focus.

You utilize your web shooters and create a makeshift shield around your suit to protect yourself from the intense electric currents. Not wasting any time you leap into the stormy sky, soaring towards Electro.

"I will destroy you and everything you love." Snarls the villain, continuing his electrified onslaught of attacks.

"How about you buy me dinner first?! We can talk revenge later!" With each dodge, you get closer to the eye of the storm.

Closer to victory.

Time to be a distraction

Instead of focusing on dodging, you now unleash a barrage of web attacks of your own, attempting to entangle Electro and disrupt his control over the storm.

Miraculously, it works. Electro's control falters for a second and you seize the opportunity to punch him square in the jaw, sending him flying backwards into a nearby building, crashing through its glass windows before finally stopping at a concrete wall.

You land on the floor next to him, wondering about Miguel's whereabouts. You managed to knock Electro out on your own, without the help his fancy goober.

Peeking out of the hole in the building, you see as all the previously flying debris has now landed onto the city below, thankfully empty thanks to the conjoined effort of other Spider People.

As you think about all the damage and repairs that will have to be done, you don't notice the villain behind you slowly getting up.

Your spider senses tingle but instead of immediate danger you only see Miguel, swinging frantically in your direction.

He shouts your name and it takes you a second too long to understand why.

An indescribable surge of electrical energy reverberates through every fiber of your being, making you scream in pain as two hands clasp around your shoulders.

It feels like a violent explosion, as if your very essence is being torn apart. Your senses are overwhelmed by an intense and blinding flash of light that comes out of Electro's hands.

After what feels like forever the pain stops, and all you can do is helplessly fall to your knees.

Or at least, that's what you would do if it weren't for the gentle shove that sends you plummeting down towards certain death.
