A Dusty Plan

We open to a human named Grim, trudging through a scorching volcanic landscape, heading towards a foreboding laboratory. In her hand, she carries not just any knife but a ancient sword, a weapon befitting her animosity.

Suddenly, a young skeleton named Epic leaps from above, attacking Grim with incredible speed. Epic's appearance is reminiscent of his past, wearing a green scarf tied around his arm, a jacket around his waist, and a ripped shirt with combat boots. He wields a halberd with a fierce determination.

{Epic} "You're just a broken human kid."

{Epic} "A waste of determination..."

Epic moves with inhuman agility, his soul shining brightly, seeking the perfect opening to strike. The two clash with their respective weapons, and we zoom out to witness the intensity of their battle. Epic's plan is to injure Grim, slowing her down, so he can confront the monsters and anthros ahead, aiming to grow stronger.

With a powerful kick, Epic sends Grim crashing into the ground, raising a cloud of dust. He swiftly launches a blaster, running along its trajectory before lunging onto Grim. He attempts to stab her repeatedly, but Grim expertly parries each attack, retaliating with increasing speed.

In one critical moment, Grim strikes directly at Epic's arm, catching him off guard. Sweating from the effort, Epic wonders if it's truly this difficult to inflict injury on Grim.

Voices echo in Epic's mind, the fallen victims of his encounters, mocking him as "Killer," "Fallen," "Broken," and "Crazy." Yet, despite the haunting memories, Epic refuses to be discouraged. He won't accept defeat.

Distracted by these thoughts, Epic fails to notice Grim's next move. She slashes him across the ribcage, injuring him.

{Epic} "Y-You... H-Hit.. Me..." The skeleton stands in shock as his grey shirt is torn.

In desperation, Epic vanishes in an instant, his attempt to retaliate falling short. Grim stands her ground, ready to face whatever challenges lie ahead. The volcanic landscape mirrors the intensity of their clash, and the fate of these two remains uncertain.
