Chapter 1

Aaliyah's POV

"We're here!" My mom claimed happily

I ripped my headphones out of my ears and got out the car.We had just moved from Texas and let's just say,I wasn't too happy.My life was perfect in Texas and I was happy.I had been born and raised in Texas and made so many memories there.I had many friends there and I didn't want to move away from my family and friends.Let's just hope I like Minnesota.

"I love this place already" my big sister Amy says
She's 2 years older than me
"What about you Aaliyah"
I stay quiet and shake my head

"Cmon brighten up princess,you'll have fun here I promise"my dad says

"yeah right" I muttered to myself

We go unpack in our new house
This house has 4 bedrooms and it's kinda big,it's a 2 story house but I can deal with it.

"I call the biggest room!"I call
"I was just gonna say that.." Amy says
Luckily I find the biggest room first which had a bathroom attached and a walk-in closet.

"Ugh you always get what you want" Amy says then walks away
I shrug
She was right,when I was born I was spoiled,really spoiled.I always had gotten what I wanted and never had been told no unless I was in trouble.
I always had gotten attention from my family members and close friends in Texas.
But I had no problem with it because I was always happy.

Time skip

I finally finished decorating my room and was exhausted.
"Dinner's ready!"my mom calls
"Coming!"

One thing about my mom is that she'll never let us starve even when we're not hungry.
She'll always have dinner,lunch and breakfast done on time.That's the type of wife and mother she was.

Me and my family sat at the dinner table and started a little conversation.

"So how are y'all liking it so far" my father asked me and my sister.

"It's beautiful here" Amy says with a small smile on her face
I wish I was as happy as her,I already missed my friends and closest family members.They always made me the happiest I had ever been and always knew how to cheer me up when I was at my lowest point.
"Aaliyah?"

"Huh?"I look up from my food
"How are you liking Minnesota?"my dad says

"Oh it's alright...I guess" I say then look back down at my food.

My family frowns at one another then look back at me

"Aaliyah sweetheart,you need to cheer up,we've been here for 5 hours and you haven't smiled ever since we left.it's time to forget about everything and get a new start."my mom says with concern
"How am I supposed to forget about everything?hm?I lived my best life in Texas and now I have to forget about that?I made my best memories with my best friends and family.how am I supposed to just forget about that?"I say with anger in my voice

"Aaliyah do not shout at the table!" My father says

" I can shout whenever and wherever the hell I want to!" Then sat up from my chair and stormed my way upstairs to my room leaving them all speechless .

The next day
Aaliyah's pov
I woke up with a headache so I decided to drink water and lay down for a little bit longer.
20 minutes later,I decided to go for a walk around the neighborhood and explore.
I passed many stores and houses and suddenly I saw kids around my age skating in a outside basketball court? They seemed to be playing hockey which I loved,and not gonna lie to you,I wanted to join but I chose to keep walking.

When I got home I was about to walk upstairs when my mom says
"Aaliyah sweety come here"she says

I sigh and walk towards the kitchen and sit on a stool

"Yes ma?"I say with irritation
"I just got a call that you're joining a new hockey team" she says with a huge smile on her face.
"What?"
Oh lord.

"Hunny aren't you happy?"she says,her smile disappearing

"Yeah but Yk I can't join another team,I still miss my old te-"

"Aaliyah it's about time you get to know more people,I know you don't want to but I'm trying to make you happy.you love hockey right?"She looks at me while I stare at the ground

"..yeah"

"Then give the new team a try"she says as I sigh
"Alright fine I guess"I say finally giving in
"Yes!you're gonna meet them tomorrow so be ready"she kisses my forehead as I nod then walk to my room.

I hope this new team goes well.
