Chapter 5

Aaliyah's pov

"Ladies and gentlemen,team USA and the man chosen to lead them to the gold,Gordon Bombay.
"Team USA,how does it feel competing on international level,here in Los Angeles?" A reporter asks."um" coach says before getting interrupted by the team.
"Feels great"
"We love it"
"It's amazing"
Then another reporter asks "coach Bombay,the Vikings from Iceland are the heavy favorite,their coach has already guaranteed victory.how are you going to handle that?" "Um... hard work.I think our team is ready to go up against the best teams in the world. We're not worried about them.Iceland may be big and tough but we are team USA and we're going all the way." Coach explains
"Team usa's going down,there's where you're going" stansson says with a evil smirk on his face making us look at one another in disbelief.

"Who are you again?"I say with anger,I wasn't gonna let him talk to my team like that

"Coach stansson,you ?" He says with confidence

"None of your business,and I don't know what makes you think you can talk about my team like that so do me and favor and go fu-" Adam covers my mouth before I could go any further.

Stansson scoffs and says "see you on the ice bombay,you too little girl" he points at me before walking off with his team.I was irritated.

Time skip
When we got back to our dorms ,Connie comes over and sits on my bed
"So how have you been lately" she says
"I've been good , what about you?" I ask. She shrugged " I've been okay,as long as I have the team,everything is gonna be fine" she says
"Yeah I agree,how are you and guy?" I ask

"We're doing good , still going off stronger than everrrr" she says smiling while throwing her hands up
I laugh and she laughs with me
"That's good.I wish I had something like what you and guy have,you two seem so happy together." I say while fidgeting with my fingers.Connie looks at me and says
"What about you and Luis?dont you have feelings for him?" She says. I look up at her and give her a small smile.she knows too much about me.
"Yeah I do,I just... don't know if he likes me the same way that I like him." I say other thinking
"Oh come on,don't be so clueless Aaliyah" she says while laying her hand on my shoulder.What did she mean? "What do you mean clueless?" I say with curiosity. She looks up at me and smiles. "You have no idea do you?" "What?" I ask
"He basically gives you heart eyes when your not looking,the way he looks at you,he doesn't look at no other girl the way he looks at you.he even talks about you to the other players.believe it or not,he likes you,it's obvious. You're just to oblivious to see it."
She explains

I was taken back by her words. He talks about me?

"Well...that doesn't explain all of it.." I say
"There's only one way to find out" she gets up and walks over to the door.where is she going?

"Where you going" I ask getting up
"To ask Luis if he likes you" she says with a smirk on her face.
"WHAT?NO"

"Too late" that was the last thing she said before leaving and closing the door. I start panicking. I hope she's joking..

Luis's pov
I was in my dorm when I heard a knock at my door.
I was hoping it was Aaliyah but it wasn't.it was Connie.what did she want?
"Hey Luis" she says.
"What's up?"I say back
"I'm just here to ask you a question.it'll be quick I swear." She says.It can't be that bad right??

"What is it?" I ask nervously
"Do you have feelings for Aaliyah" she asks with a smirk on her face . My eyes widen as she said the last 3 words so I looked down to hide the blush that was appearing on my face.I didn't know what to say.Do I lie to her or tell the truth.It might be pretty obvious anyway so I might as well be honest.
"Y-yeah I do...why"I say nervously looking down

"OMG YES I KNEW IT" she says excitedly and runs out the door leaving me confused and anxious.What's her plan..

I mean,I have liked Aaliyah since she joined our team and loved talking to her,being close to her,and laughing with her...her laugh,Aw man I could listen to her laugh all day if I could.Her smile is gorgeous.
She's perfect.
