People classify me as what you would say ''emo". That term actually pisses me off to no end. Emo is a type of music for starters. Emo is an abbreviation for emotional. Yes, people can be upset, sad, depressed, suicidal, or even harming themselves but that does not classify them as an 'emo'. Now, if you are calling me emo referring to the way i dress, which is based off of music, then yes you can call me or anyone who dresses in the genre of that type of music, emo. Yes, if we are talking about that type of emo, then i am emo. If we are talking about the emotional emo, then yes, i also am that type of emo. BUT if we are talking about the type of "emo'' who cuts their hair and dyes it in off colors etc. or "emos" who dress in all black or do things like harm themselves and FLAUNT it to get attention are NOT EMOS. So next time youd like to call someone emo, dont call them emo because they harm themselves and tell people and put it online, tell them that if they are hurting themselves and putting it online then they seriously need mental help and they really arent depressed or going through the things others are because trust me, if you were harming yourself you wouuldnt want others to know. Dont call people emo because they have bright blue hair or say that they listen to "Punk" or "Scremo or Metal" music. They are not emos. if you want to know an emo, go talk to the kid who sits in the back of the class, who dresses in black 99% of the time and always has a jacket covering them, the kid who gets bullied and pushed around, the kid who doesnt read out loud in class, the kid who actually might need someone to go and be their friend and save their life next time theyre close to taking it. go be friends with that kid. you will make a diffrence in someone elses life. So just know whos emo and whos trying to "look cool''. Please just know your terms. I have a few other words i will be posting on this '' story" but if you have any suggestions of terms people often use incorrectly please comment and i will try my hardest to enclude them.
