Believe in Sasuke, believe in Kakashi, believe in Naruto, that was all she could do. Metal on metal. Blinding fog. Defend Tazuna. "If only we were stronger" No, no, it was the most important job. "Eliminating the threat is most important right now." Protecting Tazuna is the mission, whether that is running, fighting, or hiding. "Protecting us is a part of the mission too?" ... "If we can't protect ourselves, what makes you think we can protect anyone?" ... "We must do better!" ...yes, we must.
Sakura expanded her Chakra onto the ground. It's something she came up with after having not much to do. After thinking of how to utilize her chakra, she questioned what would happen if she pushed a bit of chakra into the ground. While wall walking consisted of moving chakra into the souls of your feet to act like glue, why not apply it to other surfaces. After much practice she got it, and discovered that she can sense the chakra of others through it. It took two days to figure this out and she can only expand it about a meter from her body because it was like her chakra was moving through mud. She couldn't expand it further because after a certain point she could sense chakra at all anymore.
The thin layer of chakra coating the bridge cost a bit of concentration, but not enough so that she didn't know what was going on. She felt it, someone entered her radar, their chakra huge and suffocating. Her body moved before she knew it. She pushed Tazuna out of the way just as Zabuza grabbed his sword.
"I always keep my word." Zabuza asserted as he began to swing his massive decapitating sword over his shoulder like an arm on a windmill. Kakashi is there in front of her quickly. "You're too late." Zabuza says as if he was to enjoy the blood shed that would come. Sakura was sure that he did indeed love it.
Sakura shrieked in horror as Zabuza slashes Kakashi right across the chest. "Sensei!" Sakura exclaims as Zabuza sadistically rubs the fact of his injury in his face. He calls Kakashi weak for wanting to protect them and saying that it was to be the cause of his demise.
"Haku will be done dealing with those two brats of yours right now. Then I will give you a nice reunion with them, so you can grovel in front of them, begging for forgiveness because you were too weak to protect them." He laughed darkly.
Sakura couldn't control herself as she yelled at him in the confidence she used to have before this mission started. "Sasuke won't be easy for that masked kid to defeat, Naruto wouldn't either!" "They are stronger, and getting stronger everyday. We should take notes."
"You're right." Kakashi agreed, as he then voiced his faith in the both of them. Zabuza looked slightly shaken, as Kakashi told him Sasuke's full name. The sole surviving member of the Uchiha Clan. It wasn't the reason or even a reason Sakura had a crush on Sasuke. Ino had a large part on who she went after, but not fully why. Now that Sakura was on the team with him, she got to know him better. Sasuke was suffering, at least that much she knew about him.
Zabuza quite literally disappeared. "Damn it!" "He's gone again!" "Slippery bastard."
"Don't move Sakura, wait here and I'll finish him off as quickly as I can." Kakashi commanded before running off into the fog. Sakura coated the floor of the bridge once more. Her final time because exercising her chakra for this technique was more taxing than maintaining it.
Soon after, Sakura feels an ominous presence. She couldn't pick it up or sense it well, other than that she knew it was there, and it was raging. A demotic screech and growls happened, as the energy flailed as if uncontrollable. Sounds of glass shattering filled her ears, and the ominous presence's disappearance followed afterwards. It was then followed up by barking? Where did dogs come from? Was she going crazy or something? Tazuna to the left of her questioned it also under his breath. "See we aren't crazy! Except that we talk to each other all the time."
