(This Drabble(?) is about the aftermath of their Kingdom getting invaded)
(The way the Kingdom looks is up to the reader)
(Some gore, but not too detailed(?))
(There are no ships, not even just alluded to)-----×-----×-----×-----×-----×-----×-----×-----×-----
The Kingdom has been reduced to mere rubble on ground.
Forests that were set ablaze were now charred.
Escape routes were barricaded so no one could enter through those routes, making the journey back to the destroyed Kingdom more difficult.
Farms were raided of their stocks, making rations low.
The Kingdom of League's invasion has truly left them with nothing now. Raid after raid; invasion attempt after invasion attempt, but this was the one that caused them the most fatalities.
How could they have succumb to the rigid grasps of the rivaling Kingdom?
Izuku walked around the aftermath of the Kingdom's destruction, in an attempt to find survivors of what had happened to the once great Kingdom. But all he had found were bodies littering the old roads, masculine and feminine, old and young, animals that attempted to run from the scene were shot by arrows or gutted alive; some faces were frozen in terror, while some in grief. A few were even huddled together; Izuku didn't know the reason. Some bodies were being ravaged by wild animals, making them unrecognizable.
Casualties were present on both sides, but it was evident on who received the brunt side of this rather one-sided massacre.
They were steadfast in their attacks against them, taking advantage of the time they were given -time they had gotten due to the Kingdom's citizens getting evacuated-. The strengths in their ranks were not their biggest assets that they used in the grueling invasion, but it was their persistence to take down the Kingdom was what had gotten them the victory.
Mournful eyes glazed over the small and large pieces of rubble.
He needed to find people who survived but didn't evacuate in time, along with needing to find the bodies of both their missing ranks and deceased ranks.
Their circumstances were dire.
Famine has struck them.
Grief has struck them.
Guilt.
Regret.
King Nezu's most esteemed knights, Shota Aizawa and Toshinori Yagi had been permanently impaired one way or another. Aizawa's right eye had been penetrated by a stray arrow, permanently blinding that eye. Toshinori had been stabbed thoroughly in the abdomen, permanently making him unable to serve the Kingdom, forcing him to leave his mantle and retire.
Izuku's mind was as murky as a swamp, but his memories of the invasion were clearer than spring waters. Ruminating wasn't something he was gonna do now, it was something he didn't even wish to do. Yet the eerie silence only encouraged his mind to wistfully recall the past fortnight.
The sounds of iron-on-iron clashing were still ringing in his ears.
Weapons struck the bodies of the citizens of the Kingdom, either with purpose or by chance. Stray cannonballs crashed through the buildings of inhabitants, unaware of their circumstances. Scorching fire danced through the streets, burning those who crossed its path. Bodies fell with a sick thud, as enemy soldiers carved through the crowds of frantic bodies attempting to flee.
Soldiers of their own fought honorably, dying for a cause, attempting to barricade invasion.
Hands forced to be sullied by blood,
both of their comrades and foes. Blood and sweat trickled the grounds as much as tears did.As the fires crackled, more bodies fueled it. Ash breezed through as naturally as the wind.
Spears barbarically displayed both citizen's and soldier's bodies, the spears were mounted into the ground. The spears protruded various parts of their bodies, carelessly pierced at most.
They had fought for the only place they felt belonging to. Yet the blood that was shed was all in vain.
A mere wasteland was what has become of their home.
Soon, any survivor will be needing to take refuge in foreign land, requiring them to trek in unknown terrains and in lands that were enigmatic to them. It was likely that their people would need to change citizenship from their former ones to the Kingdom they would be taking refuge in.
It was to be expected that a hefty amount of them would have defected, possibly even the stalwarts, as Izuku continued to ruminate.
Izuku's mind recalled what the reason he was here for; to find any of his comrades' bodies. He floundered around the perimeter, avoiding the decaying bodies that laid on the ground.
No body of his comrades could be found. The bodies that were there had been mutilated to no repair. What was he to tell their families?
Guilt pitted itself in his stomach as he thought of what he would report to the King and his comrades' families.
End of Invasion's Outcome (Kingdom)
Word count for the story: 758 words
I have more chapters for this one shot collection. Some of them involve gore. I don't know if I should post one of them 'cuz it involves Izuku specifically getting hurt severely, like he should be dead kind of hurt. It's not like he won't get hurt in my other fics and one shots but that one shot specifically is kinda eh. It's kinda detailed. It already has 700+ words too.
