PFMS Scholarship – About PFMS Portal

Launched in the year 2008-09, the CPSMS or PFMS portal was initially created to monitor the four flagship schemes of the Government of India, PMGSY, NRHM, and SSA in the states of Madhya Pradesh, Mizoram, Bihar, and Punjab. However, later it was integrated with the financial network of the Central/State Governments and agencies of the State Governments. Further, the Government of India announced the DBT scheme in 2013 which was to be implemented through the PFMS portal.

Under the DBT (Direct Benefit Transfer) scheme, payments of, pensions, and other social welfare schemes were directly transferred to the ultimate beneficiaries through PFMS (Aadhaar Enabled or NEFT). This, in turn, allows students to track their payment status online. Schemes for which payment status can be availed through the PFMS portal are broadly classified into two categories –
