Two months. Two months after that day,
The day he went away.
Every single day without him feels like a decade, I must say.
Why did we end up like this, anyway..
Flashback
"Babe, what should we do today? Should we go picnic?" I asked him enthusiastically. It's our fifth month of being as a couple and sadly, the last day of classes. Mamimiss ko yung mga pagsundo at hatid niya sakin everyday. "Or should we just stay at home and watch movies?"
"Let's just go straight home, Ven."
"It's the last day of classes, babe. We should spend it well together!" I exclaimed as I rest my head on Luke's shoulder.
"Ven.." he called my name, oh gosh. I just really love it when he calls me by that name. My name is actually Veronica but he gave me a nick name and I loved it! Who wouldn't right? "Hm?" I sit up straight and face him. He got that uneasy look on his face. What's the matter..
"Let's..break up." he said looking straightly in my eyes. Wait what did he just say?
"A-are you kidding me? Anong sinasa-" he cut me off.
"You heard me right, Ven. Maghiwalay na tayo."
"What are you talking about Lucas? Bakit tayo maghihiwalay?"
"Listen to me, Ven.."
"No! Listen to me. We're so perfect for each other, right? We love each other. You said you love m-" he cut me off for the second time around. "Please Ven, don't be stubborn.."
"Look baby, I'm not being stubborn," I held his cheeks and cup it. "Is this some kind of jokes? I mean, come on. Don't be like this, alam kong gusto mo lang ako surpresahin but it's not necessarry to do this, babe." I smiled at him sweetly; as if naman na magpapa-uto ako sakanya. Isa na naman 'to sa mga lame jokes niya.
"Enough, Veronica!" Sigaw niya, habang titig na titig sa mga mata ko. Titig na parang nangingi-usap na paniwalaan ko siya. This can't be..
