CHAPTER 3: Running Away

{Nobody's POV}

The next morning the group left for the beach. Taiju quickly started running around the beach and collecting seashells. Y/N and Senku were sitting at the rocks, while admiring the view. Tsukasa stood in the water, not far away from them, as he stared at the horizon with a seashell in his hand.

"We're free in this stone world." Tsukasa suddenly said, before raising his hand up to stare at the shell.

"Shells never belonged to anyone. The same goes for the sea, and the land." Tsukasa added. Both Senku and Y/N said nothing, so Tsukasa decided to tell them a story.

"There was once a poor boy who tried to make a necklace out of seashells for his younger sister, who was undergoing surgery." He started. The sentence itself caught Y/N's attention.

"His sister loved the Little Mermaid. But then, a middle-aged man who owned the fishing rights to that spot arrived... and with him, the stench of liquor. The boy who was collecting shells... or rather, according to the man, the boy who was stealing shells, was beaten so badly that his face was unrecognizable. He was never able to help his sister be like the Little Mermaid." Tsukasa finished.

All of a sudden, Tsukasa crushed the shell in his hand and punched a nearby statue, destroying it. Both Y/N and Senku watched as the statue's head rolled towards them, before it stopped a mere foot away from them.

"You do know what you're doing, don't you, Tsukasa. You just killed a man." Senku stated.

"I know that, of course." Tsukasa responded, before turning to look at Senku and Y/N.

"Senku, Y/N, do you 2 intend to bring back everyone, including the grown-ups whose hearts are tainted? Sure, they'll be grateful to the both of you at first. But as soon as civilization returns, the rich and powerful seniors will say, "That used to my land.", "Pay your rent.", "Pay your taxes.". They'll rob the poor youth of our future again. We must not bring that world back." Tsukasa said.

"This is a stone world. An untainted paradise. We'll revive only the pure-hearted youth and live in a natural world owned by no one." Tsukasa explained, as he walked towards another statue of a man and placed his hand on top of it.

"It's a chance to purify humanity. Don't you 2 agree?" Tsukasa commented.

He then started at the statue with a cold look on his face, before he raised his fist to destroy it. Suddenly an arrow flew pass his face, catching him off guard and stopping him from doing anything.

He slowly gazed at the direction, where the arrow came from, and saw that Y/N was the one who shot it towards him. The girl didn't say anything, but walked pass Tsukasa to retrieve back her arrow that fell in the water.

"Not at all. Not even a millimeter." Senku then answered to Tsukasa's question, as he got up from the rock he was sitting on.

"I'm a technology-loving boy who gets excited over mechs, and space, and Doraemon and stuff like that. Y/N is a doctor, who loves her job, and just like me she's into science. We're going to use the power of science to rescue every single person." Senku said with determination.

Both Senku and Y/N noticed Tsukasa displeased look on his face.

"This guy is seriously bad news. Then again, if we hadn't woke him up, we would've been killed by the lions. I guess we didn't really have a choice. He wants to help out the youth, too, so I'm sure he'll stay under control until he learns the recipe for the revival fluid. Even if it kills me, we have to keep quiet about the miracle fluid in the cave." Senku said in his head.

"Hey!"

The trio turned to the source of the voice to see an overjoyed Taiju running towards them with a container in his hands.
