"In the mystical realm of Emberia, where Winter's icy grip held dominion, a skyscraper of glassy frost stood proud and strong, much like the kingdom it represented. Its glistening spires reached towards the heavens, reflecting the pale sunlight in a dazzling display of light and ice. As the embodiment of Winter, Aerowen often found herself drawn to the majestic structure, feeling a sense of kinship with its unwavering strength. Like the skyscraper, the kingdom stood resolute against the chill of winter, its inhabitants embracing the cold with grace and fortitude, all while thriving under the rule of their Winter Queen.
A petite maid, donned in a delicate ensemble of blue and white, gracefully approached Aerowen. "Your Gracefulness, Prince Beau-Lamarre of the Southern Ice Kingdom humbly requests an audience," she conveyed with utmost respect. Aerowen emitted a subtle scoff, not even sparing a glance at the maid. "Kindly inform him that I shall meet him after I conclude my daily walk in the woods, whenever that may be," she replied with an air of regal nonchalance. The maid bowed with understanding and gracefully made her way back to the ice palace. Aerowen often sought solace in the enchanting woods, retreating there whenever she felt distressed or lonely. The prospect of marrying an ice prince for the sake of the throne weighed heavily on her heart, as if she were bound by the words written in a destiny she didn't choose.
Walking through the snow blanketed forest she heard and saw many of Emberia's native animals. She enjoyed seeing them fly, eat, and converse. Somehow if made up for what she felt like she lacked..."Love."
Although the ice kingdom bustled with numerous responsibilities and esteemed citizens, a sense of one-sidedness prevailed. Love, kindness, and hope seemed elusive. Aerowen subtly clenched her cloak in her hand, a faint sign of her unease. "Once the marriage is sealed, I won't have to endure this any longer... It will finally be over," she whispered to herself as she approached a colossal rock with pointed edges. As her gaze fixed upon the stone, she noticed her name meticulously carved alongside her late parents', a reminder of a cherished childhood memory of carving their names together when she was merely four years old.
Caressing the two carvings etched with "Aerowen and Daddy," she chuckled with fond nostalgia, savoring the cherished memory. As she turned around, ready to walk back to the palace, her senses heightened. *Rustle, Crack* The mysterious sounds echoed through the woods, alerting her to an intruder's presence. Heart pounding, she thought, "How could anyone be here? The enchanted woods are off-limits to all except royals; no citizen would dare break the law." Certain that it must be an outsider, she swiftly pressed her back against a tree, steadying her breath to remain concealed. Uncertain of their intentions, she fervently hoped to evade their notice, unsure of what might unfold should they discover her presence.
Suddenly, a cloaked figure leaped down from the distant trees, their movements swift and agile. They surveyed their surroundings, a sense of urgency propelling them to sprint towards a nearby clearing, leaving scorched ground in their wake. Aerowen's heart pounded as she continued to hide, her curiosity overriding any fear she felt. Peeking over from behind the tree, she observed the fiery footprints of the enigmatic stranger. Determined to discover their intentions, she covered her face with her cape and stealthily followed their trail.
Intrigued and apprehensive, Aerowen's mind raced with questions. "Who are they? What do they want in the enchanted woods?" As she ventured further, the clearing came into view. The cloaked stranger seemed unafraid as they removed their hood, revealing fiery red hair that shimmered like the embers of a burning flame. A gasp escaped Aerowen's lips; she couldn't believe what she was witnessing.
Before the stranger could catch sight of her, Aerowen quickly pressed her body against the nearest tree, hiding her presence. But her concealment was short-lived as she heard a voice calling for her. "My Gracefulness?" the voice echoed through the woods. Aerowen peeked once again from behind the tree, her eyes widening in surprise. The fiery footprints remained as remnants of the stranger's presence, and amidst it all, an enchanting flower stood in the clearing. The puzzle deepened, and Aerowen's heart raced with anticipation, wondering how this encounter would unravel and how it would shape her destiny.
