Miles sighs watching out the window as colors flood the skies announcing the end of the day and the beginning of the night. Changes... one more change. Honestly Miles wondered when these grandiose changes would stop, but if they did, wouldn't that mean the end?
Switching to Visions was, for Miles, what marked the end of his childhood and the beginning of his pre-teens. Being bitten by that spider changed his life radically, a 360° turn. Two days were all it took to change everything. He met Peter, Penny, Noir, Porker and his first love Gwen, he learned that he was not alone in the universe, but that he had to walk his own path, make his own choices.
Then a year later another abrupt change. The aranahaverse opened up in front of him again and he met Pavitr, Hobie and many others.
Miles remembers panic when he introduced his second gender amidst the chaos. He remembered his alternate universe uncle saying something about Miles being "suppressed", "waste of alpha", "new drug", after which a needle in his throat injected a cold liquid in his veins. He remembers the older man's wicked look and his twin's bored expression watching the drug slowly manifest itself. The changes before being rescued were horrible: he felt his teeth change, his bones and muscles. His mind was clouded and he could feel his newborn alpha thrashing and howling wanting to show his full potential, also snarling in anger that he was clearly being cornered and challenged. His mind only returned to normal after two more needle sticks in his body: suppressors.
After the chaos Miles had to change two very important things: attire and behavior (he couldn't fight when there were less than two or a day left for his heat, passing the rut full of cuts and bruises was once and never again!). The changes in his body made his movements change, his fighting style, his body more muscular, his senses sharper, it made him more agile, his strength increased.
The most pleasant change, without a doubt, was Hobie. He remembered the softness of his skin against Hobie's, god, that smell was the end of him. Having the omega around him every night or in his arms was divine, being careful left him in heaven, seeing him being threatened at any moment made him furious. Having Hobie in his bed, scarred by his teeth and cum wasn't in his plans... at least not anytime soon. The change in their relationship was one of the greatest blessings, but it was still a secret, having Hobie secretly for himself was the most selfish thing Miles had ever done and he was very happy about it. Everything was finally right... until Hobie passed out.
Miles thought he loved Hobie more than anything, but that was until he heard the heartbeat coming from Hobie's womb. The changes in Hobie's body were fascinating, the other did not complain about this adoration of his partner, Miles made a point of always saying that Hobie was "shining", the famous glow that pregnant women had.
Hobie was surprised when Miles excitedly walked into his late uncle's old apartment (with Aaron's death the property was in his brother's name, now that Miles was going to have a family of his own, it was his now). The renovation was all planned by Miles, down to the smallest detail, it all started when he was 4 months old, when he finished he was about to complete 9 months. Another change, this one being the most bizarre of all, was with Miguel. This one was helpful in making himself available to be the watchman of the Hobie universe for as long as necessary. It was during a fight with a Venom from Hobie's dimension that appeared in the middle of HQ that Miles received the news that Hobie was in labor.
