Bad Beginnings

Ella's Point Of View:

As I stepped out of my car I felt Kevin's eyes on me.

"Bye Dad! I love you!" I say to my dad.

"I love you too," he says and speads down the road.

Kevin approaches me and says "Aaaw are you a daddy's girl? If you tell him anything I will slash his tires! So give me your lunch money nerd."

I give him my $10 and he pushes me to the ground.

"Thanks bitch," he says and storms away.

"Oow!" I look at my hands and find them bloody.

"Damn!" I say

My four best friends jump out of nowhere.

"Hey Ella!" Sky and Roe say.

"Waz up?" says Leah.

"Vas happenin?" says Terry.

"Yo! What up bro!" I say.

"First of all we're not your bro's we're your sista's and second, what happened to your hands?" says Sky.

"This? It's really nothing! I just fell" I lie.

"It's Kevin who did this isn't it?" says Roe.

"No it isn't!" I exclaim.

"Ella I really think you should be telling your parents about Kevin this has been going on for months!" says Lea.

"Guys Kevin isn't doing anything to me!" I exclaim.

"Whatever you say," Roe replies.

RRRIIINNNGGG!!!

" That's the bell! I guess we better get to class," I say.

As I enter the classroom I see Kevin eying me evilly.

"Good morning Mrs. D," I chirp happily at my favourite teacher.

"Why good morning to you too Ella!" says Mrs. D.

I guess you could say I was the teacher's pet. I always made the honour roll and got the highest grades in the class. The lowest grade being A- in gym but how would I apply that to being a heart surgeon?

"Let's do attendance..." says Mrs. D and reads out the names of the students.

I sit down on my chair but I fail to notice the whopee-cushion on it.

FFFLLLRRRBBBTTT!!!

All heads turn to me. I feel heat rising to my cheeks and Kevin starts snickering. I give him an evil glare and listen to Mrs. D do attendance.

"Ella Bloom"

"Present!" I say while Kevin rolls his eyes.

I know it sounds like something a nerd would say but whatever! Who cares?

"Lea Nott"

"Here"

"Roe Argo"

"Here"

"Sky Fall"

"Here"

"Terry Yumo"

"Here"

Mrs. D finishes attendance and it's time to switch classes. I get out of my chair but Kevin shoves me and says

"Get out of my way you piece of shit!"

It was a good thing it was the last day of school till summer vacation.

The day ended quickly and before I knew it I was hugging my friends goodbye and telling them to have a great summer.

"Keep in touch!" says Sky.

I got into my dad's car and put the radio on.

"How was school? What did you do today?" my dad says.

"School was good nothing really happened," I say.

"What happened to your hands?" he asks.

FLASHBACK

" If you tell him anything I will slash his tires!"

END OF FLASHBACK

I wasn't scared of telling my parents. It's just we weren't one of the richest families but we weren't poor. We were middle class but lately we were struggling financially.

" I tripped and fell," I say.

"Oh... be careful next time," he says.

The ride home was quiet and no one spoke a word. When I got home I logged into Facebook.

Message from Kevin: Why don't you just die? The world would be a much better place without you. Nobody likes you! You're so ugly and no boy that is right in the head would like you!

I turned off the computer in frustration. Why was Kevin always picking on me? I've never done anything wrong to him so why would he bully me? Everyday his goal was to make me miserable. Sometimes I just wanted to give up and make the pain stop. Not just physically but mentally but I knew I had to hold on. I had people to live for. Aside from my friends and a couple of teachers, school was hell all because of Kevin.

Before he would just call me names but when I decided to tell the principal he found out and it got way worse. The principal didn't even do anything because she was a suck up to Kevin's dad. She even tried to flirt with his dad! It was so disgusting she'a a total slut!

After that I never tried to tell on him. I didn't have a trusted adult to talk to. The teachers wouldn't be much help, definitely not the principal, I was too scared to tell my friends, and Kevin threatened to hurt my parents if I told them.

I knew what Kevin was capable of doing and I didn't want to cross his path. He was trouble. I was just happy that school was over and I didn't have to be tortured by him and be constantly picked on every single day.

At least that's what I thought...
