"What are you doing here? Aren't you supposed to be in school?". "I could ask you the same". "I'm sick."
I obviously didn't believe him. "Whats wrong?", I asked him. "Im sorry"
"What. Why?", I was very surprised."Im sorry for yesterday. I shouldn't have just showed up at your house, I mean we only know each other since 1 day and we're not even actually friends, right?", He said surprisingly fast. "Sø-", I got cut off: "It's okay if you don't want anything to do with me anymore. I totally get it. I'm just a weirdo. You know, I like you."
"Sø listen-", he cut me off again: "I am so sorry for feeling this way, I know this is wrong. I am a boy, you are a boy. And we met yesterday in school. I completely get it if you want nothing to do with a f-gg0t because I'm disgusting and you hate me now and I am so sorry for everything!". "SØREN!", I shouted. He got a bit scared and looked at me. "You don't have to be sorry.", I said. I went a bit closer and hugged him: "Please stop apologising." He pushed me away: "Please don't show affection for me. I like you. Actually like you. And this isn't making it better..."
I took a deep breath. "Yeah, I heard that."
"Than why are you still doing this?", he asked.
"Look. The moment I first saw you in class, it felt like my heart skipped a beat.", I answered him, not looking into his eyes. He was staring at me with wide opened eyes. He sat down on the bridge, his shoes in the water. "Can't we just leave this behind and be us?", I asked, sitting down next to him.I noticed that he was freezing. He was only wearing a shirt. I took of my sweater and gave it to him. "Huh?". "I can see that you're freezing...", I said. "But now you're freezing!". "That doesn't matter."
"Yes it does! You're gonna catch a cold!", he almost already shouted. "I gladly catch a cold as long as you're not freezing.", I said calmly, still staring at the river. He took my sweater: "Thanks..."We were sitting there for another 1/2h, just staring at the river. Then I said: "It's actually getting a little bit cold...", "Let's go inside then", Sø laughted. I love his laugh.
