After getting out of the hot shower that temporarily helped with her cramps, Salish dried herself and got dressed. After that, she stared into the mirror, and a pale and sick looking girl with red eyes and a lot of pain in the face looked back. Nidal was right. She WAS just not looking good. Before she could sink into too much self-pity, she left the bathroom and the living room to go to her father's room
But the door was locked! There was just a note hanging on the door saying: Dear kids . I won't be in for a few hours because I am on work i have . In case you need something, please go to Hudson. If you suffer from a serious illness, then contact Mom. Get better soon! Jordan.
Salish was in some kind of shock. This can't be happening right now. How can it be that I am out of painkillers AND her parents aren't here. But I can't possibly bother Hudson with my problems. That is just way to humiliating… A new wave of cramps forced her to hold her breath and to kneel down for a moment. This made her realize she HAS to go to Hudson if she wanted to survive this week until her mother got her some more painkillers. And she couldn't possibly call her mom because of that. She has bigger businesses to take care of. She doesn't also have to deal with her period problems.
Her mind was made up, and she made her way down to the dungeons, where Hudson's room was. She took a deep breath before knocking gently on his door. "Come in." Hudson said . Salish, again, took a deep breath, opened the door, and stepped inside, finding Hudson sitting behind his desk, preparing for tomorrow school lessons. "What is it, Salish?" he asked, annoyed, without directly looking at her. "Umm…" she said, feeling the blood rushing to her cheeks. And once again "Ummmm…." She just didn't know how to start that very delicate topic. Finally, Hudson looked up and asked again, not any less annoyed. "What is it, Salish? Stop mumbling, you are worrying me !" Salish swallowed that big dumpling in her throat and started shyly "Hudson, I am sorry, but Dad and mom are not here today and umm… I was wondering ummm…" She looked down and blushed even more. "Come to the point, Salish. " Hudson snapped. "So I was wondering," Salish began, "whether you have a med that can make cramps go away." "What kind of cramps?" Hudson asked, looking directly in her face. "Period cramps, Hudson." Salish said weakly
Hudson just looked uncomfortable for a second, but then his face had the usual bored facial expression again. He said "Well unfortunately, I there is no such thing as a pill allowed for your age against … menstrual cramps. I am afraid." Salish felt like she was going to start crying any minute. She not just only told Hudson that she was on her period, but there was not even a good outcome of this. She tried to swallow the tears away, whispered a "Thank you, Hudson."turned around, and the first tears left her eyes before she even was out of Hudson's room
Hudson heard the tears and her voice, and suddenly, he felt sorry for her. It probably wasn't easy for her to come to him, and there was nothing he could do to help her. She really didn't look good. She was so pale, and the pain was standing in her face. Poor thing.
Salish decided to go lay down for a bit. Salish lay down and pulled her knees to her chest so her tummy was coveredSalish got cold, so she put on a hoodie that she found on the floor - little she knew it was Nidal's hoodie -
