Pakas waits. He's waiting for his older brother, rather anxiously. He's fidgeting, his feet tap against the ground impatiently. He should've been here by now. He was usually here by now!
Well, he thinks so anyway. It feels like he's waiting for longer than usual and he hates it!
"Where ith Pathcal?" Pakas huffs to himself. He begins examining his surroundings to try and find his brother, hoping that Pascal might miraculously appear.
Lucky for Pakas, he does.
He spots Pascal! And all of his teammates. Pascal is walking toward him, but he still dashes toward him anyway.
"Pathcal! Pathcal!" He yells as he runs up to his older brother, who's staring at the ground with a strange look on his face, Pakas doesn't really notice, "You're back!"
"Take it easy, kid," Pascal's orange teammate says quickly, putting his hoof in front of Pakas before he could reach Pascal.
Pakas shoots him a confused glare, "Why?"
The teammate begins to open his mouth, but someone else says something first.
"Pakas and I should be heading home," Pascal says almost quietly, his gaze flicks up from the ground, his brown eyes are... strange, like they're tired, almost glazed.
His green teammate takes a step toward him, "Are you really okay, Pascal?" Her hand slightly lifted toward him.
"I'm fine," He answers curtly before beginning to walk off.
Pakas tilts his head with confusion, wondering what she meant. He quickly follows after his older brother, leaving behind the other three adults.
The two walk in silence for a few minutes as Pakas' confusion grows across his mind and little face until he finally breaks the silence by asking, "Why were you athked that?" He looks up to his older brother, following close behind him.
"It was nothing, Pakas!" Pascal snaps swiftly, startling Pakas.
Pakas quickly adheres his eyes toward the ground, growing quiet.
It's silence after that until Pascal does a quick inhale and exhale of breath, but no words escape his mouth. It's still silence.
It's night and Pakas is in bed, he's been mostly quiet, keeping to himself until it was time to go to bed(or at least when he thought it was time).
Now he waits, sitting up in bed, in the dark. He's not entirely sure for what, Pascal hasn't really said anything since they got home after all.
Pascal is mad at me, why would he tell me goodnight? His eyes wander through his dark room while he thinks, his mind beginning to play tricks on him.
Shadows of monsters, creaks from the floor, moans from the walls, etc.
Pakas quickly buries himself into his blankets as worry and paranoia begin eating at his mind. They're not going to get me Pascal is here. They're not going to get me Pascal is here, Is what he tells himself, trying to bury himself deeper into his blankets, hoping the monsters won't get him.
Creakkkkkkk
His heart stops. He stops moving, hoping that the monster won't get him.
"Pakas?" Says that familiar and comforting voice as he feels someone sit on his bed. It immediately destroys all of his fear.
"Pathcal!" Pakas yells, throwing off his blankets, his face clearly filled with relief as he hugs his older brother, burying his head into him, "I'm thorry," He whimpers, tilting his head to look at his brother.
