That was pretty much the last time Sniper went to Miss Pauling for help. Regrettably as well, seeing as his nightmares got worse and worse each time they occurred. But no matter how many things Engie suggested to help or Medic prescribed him, the nightmares would reoccur. The same damn thing, over and over and over... He couldn't handle the pain. Of course he never told any of the others what the nightmares were really about. He took Miss Pauling's advice for the first time ever. He couldn't trust anyone else with that sort of information because, if it got into the wrong hands, he would be snapped in half like a twig. That's why, every single morning, he got up earlier than the other mercs to slip away into his nest. But he was going to get cornered sooner or later... Even if it was by the person he hated the most.

The time was about 5:00am, and he sat on a dining room chair, his legs resting on the table and his arms crossed along his chest, waiting for the kettle to boil. There was a ray of sunlight that only just managed to get exactly where his eyes were so his hat was on his face for the obvious reason. He listened to the chirp of the morning birds and forced a smile.
'Today will be a good day.' He thought to himself rather grimly, but he knew it wasn't going to be. Especially since he already knew someone else was awake.
