"What was that?!" Axel yelped "I think it was a deer?" Beth said in a questioning tone of voice. "It didn't look like a stag though it was bigger and more like a shadow than a living thing," Axel said. "it might just be our minds playing tricks on us." Beth looked down at her phone. "I mean it is 1:15am so yeah-" she was cut off by someone else behind them. "Run!!" The person yelled. Then that person almost caught up. It was Pete, a close friend of Axels he was running away from something with one of Beth's good friends Taylor.
The thing they were running from looked like the shadowy deer that Beth and axel had seen only moments ago. "Did you not hear me. Run you idiots!" Pete yelled. "I- what..." Axel said before being dragged away by Beth. "Come one. Do you not see that thing behind us." She said still dragging axel. "Hurry up you two your going to get us caught." The four of them ran as fast as they could until they found a place the creature couldn't get them. "Why ate you two here?" Taylor said breathless. "We just felt like we needed to be here, almost like we were getting pulled- " Axel sputtered out trying to catch his breath. "You too then." Pete said.
"Well then we need to find some way to stop that thing that was chasing us" Taylor said. "So how do you plan on stopping it?" Beth asked. "Also what are we stopping it from doing?" Axel questioned not long after. "And why was it chasing you two!?" Elizabeth and Axel interrogated them in sync. "Right slow down, so long story short, me and Taylor here were the same as you. Couldn't sleep felt we had to be here, so we walked but we turned and ended up in the woods and we saw that.. that thing eating. It was eating a person and there were loads of other skulls and other bones around it." Pete sighed. "So that's why we need to stop it somehow" Taylor continued. "Wait. What back up. Eating a person!! Also that thing is huge how are we supposed to stop it" Axel half yelled. "Yes a person and we don't know, we need to think"
They tried to think of plan the best they could but how are you supposed to stop a man eating creature that is atleast three times the size of you. Eventually Elizabeth spoke up "do you think we could put it on a wild goose chase. Two of us could go as bait and the other two could set a trap up ahead." Elizabeth said "yeah I suppose it could work" Pete muttered. "I am not being bait!" Axel screeched. "Okay then well, me and Taylor can be bait while Beth and Axel can set the trap." Pete stated. "what! Why me!?"
The creature was chasing Pete and Taylor. They were running from the creature trying to get to Beth and Axel. Then Taylor fell, of course Taylor fell he always was a bit clumsy. Pete tried to go back for him but it was to late. The person he cared about most in the world gone, torn apart by the monstrosity infront of him. He couldn't focus. Everything was blurry and the voices behind him were muffled. "Pete! Peter come on you'll get caught too if you don't move"
The other two could see he wasnt moving all that he was doing was standing there staring in shock. Quickly Axel ran up and dragged him away before the creature caught him but because he froze up the creature was closer than they ment. It had caught up to them. They were next.
