Y/n's POV

I get ready for my last full day of classes, not well dressed but decent enough to go through what will happen today.

As I enter the school in where I've spent four years learning and growing, I realize how sad the feeling in my chest feels.

I know today won't be long, for half of the day we, seniors, will be in rehearsal for the big night tonight.

Graduation.

I see my friends and talk to them not wanting to think that even though we've been together for almost a decade now, I won't see them as much as I used to. We laugh and ignore the elephant in the room, because eventually we'll have to move on.

I enter my first class and see the guy who has had my heart on a chokehold for the past two and a half years,

Chandler.

"There's my beautiful girl" he hugs me and gives me small kiss in my head.

"There's my handsome boy" I reply as I break the hug and sit next to his seat.

(...)

The day goes fast and next thing I know I am dressing up for my last night as a senior.

We've said goodbye to our teachers and our fellow classmates who will keep continuing studying in the school we are leaving behind.

I have practice my speech over and over again so much so Chandler has also memorized it.

"You don't have to worry, they chose you to do the speech for a reason, right? The speech is the last thing you have to worry about" he said pulling to the drive way finding his usual parking spot open.

Our families will come here in an hour or so once everything is set up, sadly I get to be here earlier since I'm one of the people who will be giving a speech tonight, in front of god knows how many people.

Luckily though, Chandler is her to be my emotional support pet.

"I don't want to mess up this night, I mean, it hasn't hit me yet that next year I won't be seeing the same teachers I am used to or the same people or seeing...you" I say thinking about the many miles away we are about to be from each other.

"Don't you think I don't think about that all the time, y/n? There's no distance that can keep me away from you, cuz I'll always be there" he pulls me in closer, "for you" he finishes his sentence with his famous kiss in the cheek that have always had the power to melt me, "you won't mess anything up, well except that lipstick of yours if you agree to kiss me one more time"

I laugh at his silly comment and proceed to grant him another kiss.

In the bathroom I fix my lipstick and convince myself that I'm ready for what comes next.

I go to the podium in where we are getting everything set up for the students and teachers. In the other side some other people are sitting up the multiple chairs for the multiple students.

We practice one last time the speech and after I finish mine a loud applause is heard.

I text Chandler saying that he better not do that when the real thing happens. He replies with a winking face and I regret telling him to not do it cause now he will want to do it even more.
