Jake is currently in utter shock. He had so many questions. Why did Alec touch him like that? Why is he targeting him? Why- The bell snaps Jake out of his bombardment of questions.
"Shit!" Jake exclaims. He bolts out of the locker room and heads towards his next class, which is across the entire school.
"I barely made it-" Jake says, panting. He has one more minute until class starts. He chooses a seat near the left side of the classroom wall. The classroom was neither big nor small. Most of the seats were filled and there were only two to three seats that were empty, including the seat next to him. A woman is sitting at her desk, using a laptop. She looks to be in her 30's, like most of the teachers here. The bell rings, signaling that second period is starting.
"You're late, Anderson." the teacher says.
"Come on, Ms. Barker. It's the first day of school..." Alec tells her.
"Fine, but after today, I'm counting tardies. Now, take a seat."
"Alrighty."
Jake tries to make himself less noticeable, but that obviously made him stick out more. Alec sees this and approaches the boy.
"My, my...you look really familiar." Alec says, while settling himself down into the seat next to Jake.
"Heh-" Jake nervously chuckles.
"So...what're you doing in this class? I thought that you would be in a well...higher math class."
"What? Are you trying to say that you believe in the stereotype that Asians are smart?"
"Well, I clearly can't believe that anymore since you're in this class."
"You-"
"Jake Tran and Alec Anderson! Stop your whispering." Ms. Barker yells.
"Sorry..." they both say. Jake glares at Alec, who grins at him. Alec keeps trying to bother him by poking and trying to block his view. It's better than being bullied in front of a crowd though.
"Would you stop that?!" Jake hisses when Alec tries to touch his hair.
"Uh...no." Alec responds, still trying to touch Jake's hair and somehow succeeding.
"Alec, please..."
"How'd you get your hair to be so soft?"
"Why don't you do something else? Like paying attention in class, for example?!"
"Nah, that shit's boring."
"Ugh..."
Jake had gotten distracted the whole entire period because of Alec. The blondie kept touching him, which was really weird and awkward.
"Alec...do you like me or something?" Jake asks him nervously, while packing up.
"Hah, no way. I just like seeing you get all flustered. You look funny that way." Alec says, grinning.
"Alright then..."
Jake still felt skeptical about Alec because it was strange how he acted. The actions from this morning compared to now were VERY different. He just brushes off the feeling though. Jake heads towards his locker to swap out his notebooks, but he doesn't see that Alec is following him. He reaches his locker and unlocks it. When he looked to his left, his soul almost left his body. Alec is staring at him, while standing a few feet away from him, leaning against the locker next to his.
"Uh...what the hell?!" Jake exclaims, causing some heads to turn and look at them.
"What?" Alec asks, trying to act innocent.
