I puffed from my blunt as the music came through my headphones.

I continued bobbing my head up and down until it was my cue.

I let the melody flow from my lips like butter and ride along the beat.

𝘏𝘮. 𝘐 𝘥𝘰𝘯'𝘵 𝘭𝘪𝘬𝘦 𝘵𝘩𝘢𝘵.

"Meech can you start me from the top?" I asked٫ lifting the right headphone.

"Yeah Sev٫ I gotchu." he said٫ moving his fingers across the keyboard like the hood pro he was.

Meech was not only my producer/engineer٫ but he was my brother Million's homeboy from college AND my male bestfriend.

He moved to Florida from ATL three years ago٫ and I truly feel like the music brought me somebody solid.

He's never moved weird٫ and he's never tried me as more than a friend.

A knock came on the door.

Me and Meech gave each other a look before he stood up and opened the door.

I took off the headphones and looked through the studio booth glass to be nosey.

Meech turned his head to me with a 'bitch٫ really?' face.

"What?!" I shrugged

He turned around holding a boquet of sunflowers٫ and a take-out bag of sushi.

My eyes got wide.

He shut the door with his foot and set everything on the table٫ then began fumbling with a pink card.

As he read٫ his mouth turned into an 'O'.

"OOOUUU! Wtf man!? Well when was ya gone put ME on game?? Do Million know?! Come pinch me real quick!" he yelled٫ pacing around the table.

I stepped out of the booth and went to pick up the card.
