The Beautiful Grave

In my big house, so pretty, people sigh,
Admiration glimmers in each passerby.
A grandeur, luxurious, many desire to see,
Imagining happiness, from their hearts it flees.

Materialistic dreams, that's what they perceive,
But my heart yearns for a happiness to achieve.
For beyond these walls, a graveyard I reside,
Living with heartaches, in secret I hide.

Though surrounded by opulence, it's all in vain,
For inside, a silent sorrow causes me pain.
No happy family, no laughter, just strife,
Like a beautiful grave, where I mourn my life.

In this mansion, I wither, like a flower unwatered,
Yearning for love, every quarrel leaves me shattered.
For what good is treasure, if it doesn't mend,
The broken pieces inside, where my soul extends.

So, as you pass by, with envy in your eyes,
Remember, true happiness comes in humble guise.
For within this grand facade, I am bereaved,
Living with thousands of heartaches, unrelieved
