Chapter 6- The Speech

Snow's POV-
Izzy, Dottie and I all changed into our "camo clothes" as we call them. it's too risky to be caught, having been on TV yesterday and all. I was wearing a pair of jeans with some plain sneakers. Dottie was wearing some short shorts and a pair of cute heels, and izzy was wearing the same clothes she wore earlier. we quickly walked to the stage, just outside the police building. that's when Marissa came out.
"Hello everyone! Welcome to the first kingdom meeting. I would like to present to you, professor sugar! Don't worry, he's nothing like his name." her voice suddenly got dark. "as many of you know, I was made queen. that means, I can do whatever I want. like, making you my slaves." She grew a smirk, and we all Started to freak. Luckily, we were on the edge of the field, and got out of range before it happened. "You are going to be my subjects. and help me take over all of the kingdom!" She started a cackle. she pulled a lever, and purple sparks shot all over the crowd. the crowd chanted,
"Destroy the queen." In robotic voices. We looked at each other with wide eyes.
"Go home everyone! I must plan the overthrowing!" Suddenly all of the people in the crowd started to flee. I looked up and saw a large tree. I pointed up and we started to climb.
TIME SKIP-3 HOURS 🌲🌲
We stayed in the tree until everyone, including Marissa, were gone. I climbed down the tree and snuck onto the stage. I looked around and saw a white paper with some writing on it. I immediately ran back to the tree. "guys, lets go. I found something. " I whispered. We walked back to the house and sat on our beds. "listen up, this is what I found. it's a white piece if paper with a riddle on it. it goes:
To undo the curse, follow these steps.
Go to the place, where ZZ loved to go.
Under the gum, 123, I say so.
Go on a trip, to another universe,
But it has to be the worst.
See the brand new men,
Eat dinner in the den.
Start a medley,
Get it wrong, it's deadly.
Come back home, and all may be wrong.
Then all you do is Sing the song.
Don't you see? " I continued. It's a riddle. we just have to unhinge it." I scanned over the paper again. "who's ZZ?" I asked, lifting my head.
"I don't know," Dottie said, shaking her head. I looked over at izzy. she had her head down and she was twiddling her thumbs.
"izzy? do you know something?" I asked. she whispered something too quiet for anyone to hear. "what?" I continued.
"I'm ZZ."
