Five said excited "You'll cut your hands off, kid." Three then told her "What are you gonna buy?" Five asked him "A curvy redhead." He told her "Let's keep it classy." Six then told him "Okay. A brunette with a sexy accent." I rolled my eyes at him "I want meat. You know real meat. Not this vat-grown stuff." Six told us "Amen." "We should consider putting the money to better use... maybe upgrading the ship's defenses." One told them "Alright you knock your self out with that but ah, I'm gonna buy myself something nice. And limber." Three replied
Two then walked into the room where the rest of us were sat "Okay, I've run the numbers." Two told us all "So, how much do we have to spend?" Three said "Well, after refueling, repair costs, and docking fees we're left with exactly... zero." Two told them looking at there disappointed faces "What? Not even enough for goggles?" Five asked her "Or a nice meal?" Six then asked "Or a redhead?" Three then chimed in "Sorry, guys. We're broke." Two said "Now hang on a second. You said those Mikkei guys gave you a nice bonus for setting up that mining deal." Three asked her "They did. Just not enough." Two replied "How do we know you didn't skim hmm?" Three asked her as she crossed her arms "Ferrous offered me more to abandon you, remember?" Two sassed "What if we refuel but not... fully refuel?" One asked "We're not skimping on fuel." Two told him "I mean do we really need to fix the meteorite damage to the hull?" Three asked "Or repairs." "What we need to do is find a buyer for those weapons." I said speaker for the first time "Alright I'll look around." Three said "I thought you were leaving." Two asked him smiling
"I am, just not yet." He replied "What, you had time to sleep on it?" Two sassed "First you want me to go now you want me to stay, you know it's awfully confusing doll." He tells her "I never had an opinion either way." She told him "Okay that is both insulting and very insulting. Now do you still want me to ask around or what?" Three asked "I want you both to ask around." Two said looking at three and one "Well, nah I work solo." Three started when one interrupted "Nah, we don't..." "That's great, you guys are gonna make a great team. The rest of us can look around the ship, see if we can find anything else worth selling." Two smiled finishing there arguments "We're making our approach.Here we go." The android said "Are we sure this is a good idea? We are wanted criminals." One asked the android "I filed for docking papers under a false registration. We should be fine, as long as we keep a low profile." Android replied "I'm not exactly sure that's in our skill set." "First things first guys. We gotta get on that space station without setting off any alarm bells. Or getting blasted to scrag."
"They're scanning our registration now, standby." The android started after a few moments of computers whirring "Security scan complete. We've been cleared to dock." Android replied "Alright. Take us in." Two said "You should know, weapons are prohibited on the station." The android told three "Fine." He snapped "Okay. Let's meet in the airlock in twenty minutes. Don't forget your comms." Two said walking off "Hey, you find anything worth selling?" I heard five ask four "No." "Okay well-um, if you do... Let us know." "We've docked." Two told us "Why'd you ask me to tag along?" One asks two "Because I don't trust him for a second and I need you to keep an eye on him for me. Can you do that?" She told him "Sure." He said walking away "Why'd you pair me with Pretty Boy?" Three then asked about one "Because I don't trust him and I need you to keep an eye on him. Think you can do that?" Two told him "Hell yeah." He said walking away "you little sneak" I told her smirking when they had walked away she looked at me and smiled
"Alright, see you guys back in the ship." Two said "Let's go, sidekick." Three said to one me two and five were walking along the station "Okay big guy, we can take it from here." Two told him taking the box "What do you mean?" Six asked "You're going to the clinic to get that arm checked out." Two told him "Ah no, it's fine." He replied "Eh, any crispier and you could serve it with a side of slaw. Now go." After he had left two turned to us "Well, looks like it's just us girls "
With six he entered the clinic "Our class four androids are fully customizable. Height, weight, skin colour, hair colour and of course gender." The to advert said "Hi, I need to see a doctor." He told the receptionist "Take a number." The receptionist said "Can all be tailored to meet your specific needs. And while galactic regulations against the impersonation of humans by artificial entities requires the use of an identifying tattoo, In all other respects our androids are as human as possible." The tv advert said "Whether you're looking for help around the house, or just someone to talk on those lonely nights, a Nakashima brand android may be just the thing you're looking for."
Back with the girls two turned to me after she had sold the items "Not bad. Enough to buy us all a couple of nice dinners." We turned around and we could not see five anywhere we found her at a stand with a guy playing games "Where's the pea? You tell me." He said "There." The guy playing said "It's there!" Five said "See how easy this is?" The game master said "Even a child could do it" "Where's the pea? You tell me." He said again "That one!" Five said "Yeah, there." They guy playing followed along" "Kid's a natural. Where's the pea? You tell me." He said again they guy looked at five "It's in your left hand." "Here you go, kid." "Thanks, mister."
"How did you do that?" Two asked "I don't know. I think I may've played before. What're you looking at?" "An opportunity. Come on." Two told us as we went towards the casino "I think this one." Five said "Are you sure?" Two asked "No, but I have a feeling." Five told her "Ah, your feelings have paid off before." Two said "Yeah sorry kid, there's no way you're old enough to play. Unless of course you're under proper adult supervision." He finished when he saw twos face they were quite a way through the game "Maybe we should quit while we've still got something left." Five told us when we were losing "What's it gonna be, kid?" The game master asked "Take another card." Two told her "Let me take over." She said again "Yessss!" Five said when two won the game "What's the hold-up?" She asked the game master "Hey! Hey!" She said when guys came over and grabbed us "Let's not make a scene. We just want to have a talk." The guy told us and dragged us to a back room "I'll be back for that." She told him in the room they locked the door behind us "What's the problem?" I asked "You're cheating." He told two "The hell I am." She replied
"You're counting cards. You were counting the cards that have been played to improve your odds." He told her "That's a skill.How is that cheating?" I told them "It's cheating because we say it is. Okay, here's what's gonna happen. You and your little friends here are banned and the money you tried to steal from us is forfeit. Now get the hell out of here." They told us "No." two said "Excuse me?" He replied "I'll take my money and then I'll leave." The sassed "You misunderstand, sweetheart. You don't get a choice." He told her "I want my money." "That cash is forfeit. Now this can go one of two ways. You can walk through that exit, or we'll carry you out." He told us "We didn't cheat." Five piped up "Shut up." He snapped "But it's not fair...!" "I said shut up!" He turned around and smacked her I saw red before two could react I grabbed the guy and snapped his neck the others came at me and I begun fighting them twos shock wore off and she began to help me "Y-y-y-you-you k*ll..." she said while looking at me and the dead bodies on the floor I grabbed her hand "Come on." I said as me two and five ran back towards she ship
Later I was sat in my quarters when I heard beeping someone asking to be let in I opened the door to see two "hey you okay?" She asked me "no I killed those men it was like an instinct i couldn't stop" I told her she sighed and came to sit next to me "you did what you had to you protected me and five" "there was other ways to do that rather than killing them" "it is not your fault you did what you had to stop blaming yourself for what happened" "thanks" I told her sniffling back some loose tears she put her hand on my shoulder smiling before walking out of the room
"Hey." I said to five as I walked into the infirmary "Hey." She repels "We should talk about what happened on the space station." I told her "That's ok." She said never looking up "I really think..." "I don't wanna talk about it." She snapped "What's wrong with her?" "Nothing. She's perfectly normal. Which is a problem on this ship." I said "So, I've been doing the math in my head and correct me if I'm wrong but... we managed to refuel, but didn't have time to effect repairs or resupply and restock. We lost the weapons, so we didn't get anything for 'em. We sold the other stuff and did get money for it, but it was confiscated at the casino. So, bottom line: we're worse off than we were twenty-four hours ago." Two told is "We also missed an opportunity to do some research while we had access to the station's information hub." I told them all "Maybe next time." Yeah. For now, we're back to square one, and our pasts remain a mystery" two finished
