Location: Maryland

-Note: The President is Harrison Ford, and Vice President is Danny Glover. Because you cannot be more badass than Indiana Jones and Roger Murtaugh.

It is an impressive vehicle, this airplane they call Air Force One. A pity it is inanimate. It would make a formidable Autobot. Optimus thought.

The president had desired to meet with the intergalactic leader of the Autobots for some time, but coming to his domicile, this White House, Optimus wondered, offers some obvious logistical difficulties. So arranging a rendezvous at somewhere such as Andrews Air Force Base is the far more reasonable course.

Optimus was intrigued to speak with him. If any human can comprehend the responsibilities that come with being a Prime, then it would be he, the leader of the United States of America.
The main door to the airplane opened, a stairway with the presidential seal rolled up to it. The Americans have our iconography, and the Autobots have theirs. In this, at least, they are alike.
Several men in black suits emerged. They have earpieces and are regarding Optimus with what appears to be considerable trepidation. These men are bodyguards, and it is unlikely that they are happy to see this giant robot talking with the President.

This meeting has been long arranged and approved at the highest level, yet still they regard the Autobot leader as a potential threat.

Optimus completely respected them, for they know that if He were indeed to present a threat—were He to attack them—they would be helpless to stop him. His presence hampers their ability to do their job.

Even after all this time, they still do not understand. It is the solemn duty of the Autobots to protect the Human race.

The president emerges from Air Force One. He looks up at Optimus and salutes him.

"Optimus Prime," he said. "Welcome to Air Force One.
It is meaningless since I am not in the armed forces. No ... it is not meaningless. It is a sign of respect, and much appreciated.
Optimus salutes back. "Mr President," he says.

"I want to thank you for your service," President Ford says. "I would present you a Medal of Honor, though that's be difficult given the size of your neck. My assistant said it wouldn't even be necessary".

Optimus Prime was usually the calm, stoic leader, but decided to offer courtesy and briefly  cracked a smile.

"Indeed, Mr. President," He said. A play on the two words that sound alike. He did agree it was amusing.

"I was briefed on your interactions with Agent Fowler and General Bryce," President Ford said. "It's a true honor to finally meet you. Before we begin, you couldn't have picked a better vehicle mode".

"Indeed," Optimus said.

Just then, Optimus received a message from Ratchet.
"Optimus-we're under attack! What ...? ... is that? It makes no sense! ...Sentinel? Has destroyed ... ...Ironhide?! Optimus you must hurry back to-"

"Ratchet? Repeat? I cannot-" Nothing. Optimus could hear nothing at all. Nothingness. Emptiness. It is not that Ratchet is not replying. He is gone.

Optimus was concerned now.

"You must leave immediately," Optimus says.
"You must refuel your vessel as quickly as possible and depart."

His guardians are instantly alert to the threat of imminent danger they discern from my words. The president looks confused. "I ... I don't understand ..."

"Something terrible is happening, Mr. President," Optimus said. "
Something that you need to be nowhere near. Take to the air and leave this area. Your country needs its leader."

The guardians believe me. "Mr. President, we have to leave. Now. We'll get it sorted out in the air," says one, and they are already hastening him back up the stairs.

Optimus transforms and rolls out of Andrews Air Force Base at top speed, and yet his thoughts are racing even faster.

The guards at the front exit barely manage to raise the gate before He speeds through. Seconds later, Andrews Air Force Base is in his rearview as Optimus speeds toward the highway.
Alert messages are coming through. NEST is contacting him. Alerts are everywhere. Decepticons are now converging upon the HQ and Washington, D.C.

Optimus immediately sent an electronic message to Ratchet, hoping he would receive it, telling them he will arrive back at Base and formulate a plan to proceed before moving to the National Mall.
