What are you?

It’s been over 3 months since soldier Ding went into his office. Martin still scratching his chin on why his skin was moving and why they ran away. But  that thought process was cut short because the announcer has called all personnel to prepare their uniform and weapons. Martin knew it was a drill they do every year, so he didn’t go right away but his stomach growled so he went to take something at the cafeteria.

He walked to the cafeteria and as he expected no one was there. So he used his key card to open the door and get inside to grab something to eat.
He took with him some nice serving of rice, fries, some beef and chicken with the army special sauce which was just garlic sauce.

He sat down on a table and ate his food. 10 minutes passed by and said to himself “this is taking longer than expected… eh why not go do the drill”

He walked to his locker readying himself, he worn a new prototype armor that he designed to absorb all impact. With a theorized limit of absorbing of 500 megaton of TNT and took out a staff meant for healing.

As he ready to get out he heard a grunt, it was coming from one of the changing room. He didn’t want to barge in cause it would’ve been disrespectful to do so. But the grunt turned into screams of agonizing pain. At that point, Martin had to see what was going on.

He said “I’m going to open the door” 

He pulled the door wide open but what he saw was surprising. It was a scaly and furry creature . Like some mixture of a Dragon and a cat.

He was in complete awe.

But the creature looked at him scared and ready to attack with their claws growing out. The thing leaped onto Martin and started slicing him. He was trying to hold it back by using his staff but the monster was overwhelmingly out powering him.

Martin screamed: “HEY CALM DOWN BIG FELLA. IM NOT TRYING TO HURT YOU PLEASE CALM DOWN

The creature continues on clawing and beating him.

Martin had no other choice, he put his hand on the head and chest of the creature and released all the armors energy onto it making the creature drop on him.

As he got up, he checked the creature’s pulse. It was still beating.

He walked back to the area where the creature was originally and he saw a uniform with the patch having the name Ding.

He took the badge and the uniform and looked at the body.

He muttered “what are you?”

He heard someone coming into thee room. He grabbed the body and ran as fast as possible back to his office and hid Ding in a secret passage way behind his bookshelf. He laid them down on a bed.

The next day, there was an announcement that something has completely ravaged the locker room and are doing an investigation.

Thankfully, Martin had access to the camera file. So he purposely corrupted them so he wouldn’t be found out on what is going on.

He went back to the hidden passage.
Preparing some tea. Hoping to get some answers on what is Ding hiding from everyone when they wake up.

He does feel sorry for what he did but he wants to talk to Ding, he wants to understand their motive. And so he wait until they wake up.
