Evi followed Thomas as he continued walking toward the small forest. The area seemed cooler, the sun rays peeked from huge tree apexes. Small leaves rustled in the wind as Thomas found a wide rotten tree stump and rested on it.

He dragged Evi closer by her hand, and she squatted in front of him, hugging her knees closely to her chest. The place appeared very silent as Thomas looked down at her, his forehead held a small furrow.

"It seems you are not as honest with me as you claim to be," Thomas said. "I mean I do get that in a way, but you have been adamant about honesty."

"Why do you think that I am not honest with you?" she asked, looking up at him.

"You didn't tell me about Oswal," He raised a brow.

"There is nothing to tell," she repeated. "Why is that even relevant?"

"I want to talk about you and Oswald first, you will know the reason soon," he said. "You said he likes you and I can see that as well. He is questioning my intentions every chance he gets."

"Elaborate,"

"Well, when I met them, you and Selma went for that talk. He started asking questions."

"That is how you get to know people." She lightly shook her head.

"Not with those kinds of questions." He glanced at her. "Are you sure about your feelings for him?" He blurted out the last part.

"You are asking if I like him?" He nodded. "I like him in a friendly manner." Her heartbeats quickened as she wasn't sure of his reasons for this conversation.

"I just don't want to be in the middle of something." He sighed loudly. "And it seems you and Aron have some sort of connection as well."

"As I said, don't mind him, he just likes to mess with people," she replied.

"I don't have that much expectation of this—"

"I'm utterly lost." She cut off his speech.

"We almost kissed Evi." He rushed his talk. The ignorance of almost kissing vanished away between them. "A few times, actually." She realized it wasn't just her imagination about all the other times. "I do want to kiss you." He stared at her eyes. "But that will change stuff." He added.

Evi stood up, she rubbed her hands together as her palms started to secrete. She wanted to hear that, and she knew the consequences if things didn't work out between them. What possibilities do they have? Be together for the rest of the trip, but then she would lose a good friend. She started to walk further into the woods. Was she running? Perhaps. But she felt out of words at that moment.

"Wait," he said, panting, rushing after her.

A passionate moan echoed through the woods as Thomas caught up with her. She stood in the middle of the wooded area, Evi's eyes widened at the realization of the view they stumble on hit her.

"Oh, my god," Evi said, covering her mouth with her palm, her voice resounded in the vast area.

"Who is there?" a woman spoke in a raspy voice.

Thomas grabbed Evi's waist, turned her, and pinned her to birch three. Sharp bush twigs scrapped on her bare shins, but Evi ignored the discomfort, finding his close proximity and touches thrilling. She giggled as the pair sheltered themselves behind a tall stump. Thomas's body firmly pressed against hers and her breathing fastened. All thoughts about the conversation left her as she stared at his brown eyes.

"Show yourself!" a gruff man's voice shouted.

Evi couldn't contain her laughter as one more giggle left her mouth. Thomas placed his palm on her lips. Soon they could detect shuffling sounds as Thomas stared at Evi's wide eyes. His smile held vast, and he barely contained the laughter.
