Issac's Coming Out

Hi, please enjoy! I loved Isaac's storyline and actual good aroace rep. Please enjoy my poorly written coming out scene for Isaac

The film they chose was still playing as Isaac looked around at his friends, Charlie's head on nicks chest, Elle's head on Tao's shoulder as they shared a beanbag chair, Tara and Darcy whispering with each other.

It really sucked knowing he will probably never get something like this, ever. Isaac had done his research and came to the conclusion that he was in fact aromantic and asexual. It wasn't that shocking for him at the end of the day he had never liked anyone. 

Isaac went back to his book now, Loveless by Alice Oseman. It was about an aroace uni student. He had picked it up in Paris. It really resonated with him, he had no idea how he had not found the term before the Queer Art Night but it was refreshing to have a word to describe how he feels. 

The credits eventually rolled and everyone started to stir. Charlie suggested that they set up the air mattresses since they were doing a sleepover tonight. 

Isaac grabbed his blankets and went to his usual spot on the couch while each couple got an air mattress. 

He decided to go for it when everyone sat down again. Isaac hadn't been worrying to much about coming out. It has been in the back of his mind ever since he figured it out but the time just felt right at that moment. And these were his friends who he knew would not judge him and will love him no matter what. 

"Guys" He said.

Everyone looked at him, it felt right. His nerves did not tell him to stop. He knew he could do this. 

"I have some news"

"Is this about James" Darcy said smugly

"no, no its the opposite actually," Isaac took a deep breath and went for it, "I'm aromantic and asexual meaning I don't like anyone romantically or sexually"

He looked around trying to read his friends faces.

Charlie spoke up, "That's great Isaac!" Then he got up to hug him.

Everyone followed with positive reactions and he smiled gratefully. He was so lucky to have friends like this they are all amazing. 

Eventually they were all in a group hug. They stayed there for a while.

"I hope you know we will always support you" Tara said.

Isaac couldn't have hoped for anything better.
