Navya: So where are you going with Zachariah tomorrow?

Astrid: To the cinema, we're watching that new thriller that came out last week. Maybe you can invite Tobi, it'll be a double date!

Navya: Good idea, Astrid!

Mika: Can I come with? I really want to watch that movie.

Astrid: Sure, whatever, but you don't have a date.

Mika: I'll just ask one of my guy friends, it's okay.

Navya: But isn't a triple date too much? At this point we're just hanging out.

Astrid: You're right, Nav, sorry Mika, I really wanted something more private with my boyfriend.

Mika: Oh... It's alright, I understand...

Navya: Maybe next weekend? Anyways, I have to go eat, bye guys.

Mika: Bye!!

Astrid: Enjoy your meal, Nav!

*End of conversation*

I sighed as I turned off my phone. I felt disappointed that my friends would choose their boyfriends between me. We used to be so close, now that they're both in relationships, it's been lonely for me. Well, you'll see, my relationship with certain guys are... Complicated.

I open my diary and vent to it before closing it and going to bed.

The next day:
At the park:
3:12 PM:

I'm walking in a park near my house with my bodyguard, Francis, by my side when I notice Kai skateboarding with Miguel towards me. They stop in front of me and I flinch.

Kai: Hey, Mika.

Francis: Are these two bothering you, miss?

Now, normally I would've said yes, those two are annoying as hell, but I was feeling lonely.

Me: No, Francis, they're not bothering me. Hey Kai, are you okay?

Kai: Yeah I'm okay.

Miguel: Check out this trick I've been practicing, Mika!

He does an ollie on his skateboard, I smile and clap my hands.

Me: Cool ollie, Miguel. Can you teach me?

Kai: We don't have the time right now.

Me: I was talking to Miguel.

I intensely look at Kai but Miguel breaks us up.

Miguel: Uh sure, I can teach you on Monday.

Me: Thanks Miguel!

I hug him around the neck and he reciprocates, hugging my waist. I smirk at the irritated look on Kai's face before separating from Miguel.

Francis: Time to go, miss.

Me: Okay, bye guys!

Miguel: Bye, Mika!

We wave at each other before I walk away with my bodyguard. We arrive at the car and he opens the door for me. I sit inside and the chauffeur drives back home. As I'm looking out the window, I feel my phone buzz through my pants.

The notification showed me that Astrid had posted a picture on Instagram. I clicked on it and saw photos of her with Zachariah, Navya and Tobi at the cinema. I liked the photos and turned off my phone. I'm a bit teary and saddened by the post.
