Why do you feel like this...

The bell just rang which means you just finished your last class. You take out your phone and look to see if Eden has texted you since this morning but she hasn't. Instead, you see DM on your insta from an account you've never seen before so you read it. It's your freaking ex. He made yet another account just to stalk you. The message reads " PLEASE COME BACK I PROMISE I'M SO DIFFERENT NOW". You ignore it and block the account, he goes to a different school so you don't see him anywhere except for maybe he shows up at your job every once in a while but it gets handled by security. Now you're in a horrible mood, JUST GREAT! You text Connor and tell him you're done with your last class and he quickly replies " Meet me at the field."  You get up and make your way to the field and sit on the bleachers. You see him running drills, his number 74 jersey all dirty, and him... all sweaty. You get another tingle in your stomach but choose to ignore it. You sit on the bleachers on your phone only to look up at Connor chugging his water in front of you, his body glistening with sweat. You slightly jump back in shock but then smile. He stops drinking the water and looks at you while smirking.  " Did I scare ya?" Connor says while laughing. You just roll your eyes and laugh too. His teammates yell to him asking if they can come over and play the ps5. "Not today guys I'm busy but hit me up first thing tomorrow!" Connor yells back. You look at him confused as to what he means by he's busy because it's a Saturday and every Saturday you go over after school and sleep over. Connor sees the look on your face and says " Busy hanging out with you, Y/n" while rolling his eyes and scoffing. You smile and nod giving a sign of approval. Ya'll get in his car and he drives back to his house. Once you get there you both go to his room, you sit on the bed and do your homework while Connor does his on the floor. You say " You do know this bed is big enough for both of us to sit on it?" He replies with " If we were both in the bed right now I'd practically be on top of you." You get that same warm tingly feeling in your stomach again but just brush it off. "Don't forget, I need you to take me to the shop tomorrow  to pick up my car before work!" You say. Connor replies with " I know Y/n." After all of your homework was done Connor was still struggling a bit on English homework. You sit on the floor next to him and try to help. You get super close while trying to read the paper. Now you are both leaning in close reading it. You can feel his breath and then get that stomach feeling again but ignore it and look up repeating the question from the paper to him. " So what do you think this text means?" You say while staring at him. "Well I-" Connor stutters and struggles to finish what he was saying. He is just staring into your eyes and slowly starts to smile. "What? What is it?" You say panicky. "You know your eyes are really pretty, like mesmerizing" he says with a smirk. The stomach feeling intensifies. "Stop trying to get out of the question" You say. You can't stop smiling and blushing.  He finishes the paper eventually and decides to play on his PC. You sit on the bed watching your phone. Then you get 10 notifications back to back from your ex. You block him again but he ruins your mood just like always. Connor yells as he loses the round he's plays then turns his chair to face you. Connor can see you are clearly uncomfortable and upset. "Y/n... what's wrong?" He says worried. "Nothing its just Liam again" you say. You watch his face quickly change from worried to pissed as he says " That weird ass dude is still fucking with you?" You reply with " Yeah but-" He cuts you off saying " Y/n there is no but he needs to learn his fucking lesson. now." You were shocked because he never talks like this to you only to other people. Before you even had time to react you got a text, " Is that him?!" Connor exclaims. You reassure him by saying " No it's just Eden she's sick and was saying goodnight." He glares for a few seconds then nods as he can tell you're not lying. He asks if you wanna try playing as he signals for you to come over and sit on his lap. You freeze up not knowing why. You're best friends, you sit on his lap all the time! It shouldn't be weird this time. You come over and sit on his lap and start playing. He sits back and watches you with a smile. You were having lots of fun but you kept bouncing and wiggling around attempting to dodge the hits in the game. Connor pulls off you headset causing you to lose the game. "HEY! What was that for?!" You say. "Y/n don't fucking play with me right now. You can't do all of this moving on my lap or I'm gonna do something I don't think you'll like" Connor says into you ear before putting your headset back on. You were blushing so badly it was embarrassing which made you even more red. The tingly warm stomach feeling was no more. It was now a scorching hot pounding feeling all over your body.
