Crossroads of Emotions

I am caught in a crossroad unseen,
Between emotions conflicting, a tangled routine.
Should I rejoice for the joy he's found anew,
Or let anger burn bright for the disrespect he threw?

On one side, happiness beckons, it's true,
He's found someone to bring skies of blue.
Love's tender path is said to bring glee,
But what about the disrespect once aimed at me?

Should I be content, let the past fade away,
And let his new love have its sway?
Or should I hold onto the flames of ire,
A reminder of wounds that won't soon expire?

In this realm of choices, I'm trapped in the fray,
Between forgiveness and anger's display.
But remember, dear heart, it's your path to design,
To heal and move forward, or let resentment define.
