Razzy gazed out of the window, lost in his thoughts as the rain pelted against the glass. The rhythmic drumming of the raindrops echoed the turmoil within his heart. He turned to his husband, Raven, who was engrossed in a book, his brows furrowed in concentration."Raven," Razzy said softly, breaking the silence that had settled between them.
Raven looked up, his deep blue eyes meeting Razzy's gaze. "Hmm?" he responded, bookmarking the page he had been reading.
"I've been thinking... I really want a baby," Razzy's voice wavered slightly, his emotions threatening to spill over.
Raven's expression shifted from curiosity to surprise, and then to a mixture of concern. "Razzy, we've discussed this before. You know how I feel about it."
Tears welled up in Razzy's eyes, his emotions too raw to suppress any longer. "I know, Raven. But I can't help it. I want a son so badly that it's driving me crazy."
Raven sighed, setting his book aside and moving closer to Razzy. He gently wiped away a tear that had escaped onto Razzy's cheek. "I understand your feelings, love. But you also know my reasons for not wanting kids."
Razzy nodded, his heart heavy with the weight of his longing and Raven's reluctance. "I know you're worried about the responsibilities, the changes it would bring. But Raven, I've thought about all of that. I'm ready to take on those challenges. I just... I can't shake this feeling."
Raven's eyes softened, his fingers tracing gentle patterns on Razzy's hand. "I love you, Razzy. And I know how much this means to you. But we can't rush into such a life-altering decision. We need time to think, to talk."
Razzy leaned his head on Raven's shoulder, seeking comfort in his presence. "I just wish you could feel what I'm feeling. The desire to nurture, to raise a child of our own."
Raven held Razzy tightly, pressing a kiss to his forehead. "Give me time, Razzy. I promise to keep an open heart and mind about this. Let's continue this conversation when we're both calmer and more collected."
Razzy nodded, a mix of hope and uncertainty swirling in his chest. He knew that Raven's words meant a lot, but he also understood that the journey ahead wouldn't be easy. As the rain continued to fall outside, they held each other, united by love and the delicate balance of their desires.
And so, the chapter closed on that rainy evening, leaving the path forward uncertain but filled with the potential for understanding, compromise, and the growth of their love.
