Murder

Winter walked down the steps carefully as she tried not to fall. She was trying to find Karina because she wanted to ask her if they could go get ice cream, they had ran out of her favorite and she wanted to go get more.

Once she got off the last step her slippers made sounds as she walked around the house. There was no sight of Karina. If Karina had left the house she surely would've told her, there's no way that she wouldn't.

Winter roamed around the kitchen and next thing she knows she's in front of the basement door. She has never really went in the basement because Karina would always tell her not to go down or there'll be consequences, and she listened of course. There really wasn't any reason for her to go into the basement until now. She really wanted to find Karina

She opened the door slowly as she saw another door at the end of the steps. The pathway to the steps were dark and there was no light. Winter sighed and made her way down the steps, making her steps quiet as possible.

She reached the end of the steps and looked at the doorknob. She suddenly heard a male voice screaming like he was being burned alive. Her heart dropped and tried to calm herself down. She tried to think that it was just a movie playing even though it sounded oddly realistic.

Winter slowly cracked open the door to see Karina's back facing her while standing in front of someone.

She couldn't see the persons face because of the dark red light that was flowing through the room, but once she saw half of their face her eyes winded. It took her a moment to realize that Karina had a metal flame that causes burns which were deadly.

The male's face was half burned and he was screaming as the blood dripped down his face. Winter's breath suddenly became cold as she sallowed hardly on the lump in her throat. Her hands started to shake, not wanting to hear his screams anymore.

Her eyes met Karina's and the fear rise up from her lower body all the way up to her head. She immediately let go of the knob and ran upstairs, but she accidentally tripped on a stair. She groaned in pain, "Kim Minjeong." She heard a low voice as she heard loud footsteps coming up to the her step. She shut her eyes and immediately got up and ran for the top door.

She burst open the door, almost loosing her balance from running. Her eyes wandered where to go before running to the front door and opening it to their front yard, seeing multiple guards looking at her with confusion.

Winter didn't have time to pay attention to the guards, she slightly limped as she ran to the open gate. She immediately was grabbed by the arms with a strong force, looking at a big buff man with a suit on.

She then saw Karina walking up to her with angry in her eyes. Winter closed her eyes tightly as she began to feel the strong force faint. She opened on eye to see the man on the floor his nose bleeding just from Karina's punch.

"Touch her again and i'll kill you with my bare hands." Karina said looking down at the man grunting in pain. Karina's gaze then turned to Winter making the younger one gulp nervously. "You, come with me." The older then grabbed Winter by the wrist and pulled her back into the front door of the house.

Winter then pushed her hand away in complete fear, "w-what.." Winter mumbled, her voice cracking.

"What did you see?" Karina asked before clenching her jaw so hard that Winter could see her veins almost popping out.

Winter's eye's lowered to the ground, shaking constantly. She could not believe what she just saw, she didn't want to believe it

Karina then paced around slightly, frizzing her hair out of anger, "fuck!" Karina yelled making Winter jump up out of shock.

"Y-you won't hurt me, right..?" Winter asked quietly with her trembling voice making Karina turn to her softly. She stroked her cheek and smiled small, "of course not my love, I would never hurt something precious as you." Karina then pecked Winter on the lips softly, the younger's breath slightly cooled down.

"A-are you a.." Winter gulped before continuing, "murder..?" Karina's gaze slightly lowered on Winter's hands but then to her eyes, they were both shaking uncontrollably, she could tell that Winter was very nervous. The older sighed and held her lover's hands and creased them with her thumb softly.

"What would you do if I am?" Karina whispered in Winter's Ear, making her shiver slightly but her eyes trembled more.

She didn't want to be with a murder or an assistant or whatever Karina was. Knowing that Karina killed people just didn't sit right with her.

Her heavy breath was hard onto Karina's shoulder as the older pulled her into a hug, "Minjeong, I'd kill anyone for you." Karina whispered in her ear and bit her lip softly before continuing, "none will come in between us." Karina then pushed back a string of Winter's hair to her ear as she looked into Winter's trembling eyes.

"K-Karina.. I—" Karina's grip on her hands tightened, "Karina?" Karina tilted her head slightly and raised an eyebrow.

Winter felt her stomach drop and she shook her head, "J-Jimin.. I meant Jimin.." Karina then glared at her before letting it go.

It was the middle of the night and Winter could not sleep. She was wrapped around Karina's arms but she did not feel safe. Knowing that Karina also killed people with these arms just made her uncomfortable.

Her eyes wandered around the pitch black room, her eyes then saw a figure. A familiar figure. Her breath hitched as she saw the same figure earlier today. The figure that was killing a man. She turned to her side slightly to see Karina sleeping peacefully which made her more scared.

She had to escape somehow, she didn't want to sleep in the same bed nor the same house with a murder. Winter slowly removed Karina's arms from her neck that were wrapped around her. Once she successfully removed her arms she slipped on her shinchan slippers and crawled on the floor slowly as she reached the door. One arm went up to the knob as she remained on the floor so she would not be seen when the door opened.

She successfully made it into the hallway, closing the door behind her. She got up from the floor and ran immediately for the front door as her slippers slightly made noise along the hallway. She knew exactly where she wanted to go, to Yizhou's house. She knew that she would answer the door no matter what, all she had to do was make it past the gate of the house and she'd be fine.

Winter gulped as she opened the front door slowly, closing it behind her as she made it out the door. She saw that none was outside, probably because it was the middle of the night. She quickly ran to the open gate when suddenly a loud siren sound came on that startled Winter,

"What the hel—" She was cut off by an angry but tired voice,

"Kim Minjeong." She jumped up in shock as she turned to see Karina glaring at her with her blue pajamas still on. Winter thought she looked kinda cute. She smiled nervously as she looked up at the older one who did not even show a bit of emotion, just pure anger.
