During the sword smith village arc he was very jealous of Tanjiro because he could use Water breathing, Funky looking flame breathing AND thunder breathing. He can't bring himself to complain about it because Tanjiro is one of his only friends and he's scared that he won't want to be friends with him anymore if he said anything about it.
