Here are the symptoms of the black death, it's not really important to the story but it may be helpful...
Day 1
Painful swellings called buboes appear in victim's underarms and between the legs. Usually the size of an egg but could sometimes be the size of an apple
Day 2
Victim frequently vomits and has developed a fever
Day 3
Bleeding under the skin causes dark blotches all over the body
Day 4
The disease attacks the nervous system, this causes the victim to suffer spasms and is now in terrible pain
Day 5
Sometimes the buboes burst and a foul smelling black liquid oozes from the open boils when this happens the victim usually survives (this is what happened to Edward since he survives after all) However in most cases the victim suffers a painful death
