"You're in love," Yerin Jung smirked at her friend. "Don't even try to deny it. You're in love, that's why."

"No! If I ever fall in love with him, I think I'll have a heart attack!" The tall brunette glared at her friend in response, her wavy hair shielding most of her face in a desperate attempt to hide her warm cheeks. "And you've been spending too much time with that 'winter bear'. You're smirking."

That achieved Yuna's goal: Yerin's face flushed crimson and she began to stutter, "Y-Yuna! N-no I'm not! Don't compare me with that pervert!" Yuna giggled softly before clamming up and sink into her previous sulking. "Yuna," Yerin recovered from her embarrassment and addressed her friend sitting in front of her, "you've been cordial to him ever since that Concert thing. Now you're acting nice to him. Your blush is more than enough evidence!"

Ah, the Concert thing, Yuna would rather drown than remember about it. Yuna and Jungkook are a part of a school committee called 'The Guardians' along with Yerin, Jimin, and Sinb. They all are in the same grade just different sections. The Guardians are quite popular at school cause not only are they the top students at their school but also have idol-like features. This caused many students to idolize them and create Fanclubs for each. For example, Yuna's Fanclub are called 'Luvus'.

Due to their similar yet opposite personalities, Yuna and Jungkook didn't get along at first and almost always competed to show who was the best, whether it be in sports, academics or even in food competitions. But ever since an incidence when Yuna and Jungkook had to collab and sing a duet to represent their generation, the hostility between the two reduced dramatically.

Yuna resumed her glare and muttered something indistinguishable under her breath. "What?" Yerin asked.

"I'm not nice to him. And I never will be. I don't blush either. If blushing means love, you must be madly infatuated with Kim Taehyung senior then," Yuna put her façade back on, her voice flat and colorless. Yerin's face turned tomato-colored again.

"N-not the point!" She tried to divert the subject, but no avail. Yuna just turned the other way and continued to watch puppy videos, hiding a smile. Yerin breathed deeply and tried to confront the brunette about the subject again but was interrupted by a voice.

"Hi, Yerin, Yuna," Jimin's face peeked in from the Committee room entrance. "Here already?"

"Yes," Yuna's voice gave no indication that anything happened before Jimin's arrival. "We had nothing to do beforehand, and Seokjin-ssaem let us off early."

"Alright," Jimin entered the glass building, and put a big stack of papers on the table. "We have to get these all sorted out today. Where's Jungkook and Sinb?" The girls just shrugged and awkward silence hung in the air.

"Sorry!" The trio heard the voice of Jungkook and Sinb as the two missing Guardians rushed into the building, panting all the way to the table. Yuna felt her cheeks warm up significantly. "We got held up by Seokjin-Ssaem after class."

"That's fine," Jimin brushed their late arrival aside. "We just have to..."

After the Guardian meeting...

"That's it for today," Jimin announced, much to everyone's immense relief. Sinb yawned. Yuna stood up to leave but felt her phone vibrate in her bag, and reached in.

"I will be a bit late today, so just wait beside the gates with someone trustworthy, or a teacher. Do NOT go anywhere or come home alone." The message was from Yuna's mother. She shut her phone with a sharp click, irritated. But who could wait for Yuna's mom with Yuna afterschool? Nobody was in school five o'clock in the afternoon except from the Guardians and the teachers.
