Remi gulped.

She was standing in front of Chairman Hamada. It was a moment to take in, her heart was pumping and she can hear her nervous thoughts becoming louder and louder.

Without noticing, the Chairman had started asking questions. But since Remi was in her train of thought, she couldn't even hear him.

Until..

"Ms. Nevada?" He says.

"Huh?" Remi manages to answer. A minor smile came around his mouth as he restates the first question.

"How long have you been in the business industry?"

Remi became nervous again. She breathes in and proceeds to answer the question. "I.. I um... I haven't been in this kind of range of work before.. I'm more used to the hotel industry. I didn't work in the lobby.. I was more of a cleaner." She forcefully smiles after using the line her supervisor wrote down for her. Remi felt proud because this would be a big accomplishment for Mega Net, and this would get them up higher in the ranks.

"Ah. I see.." The chairman had seemed a bit disappointed. Her demeanor and appearance made it seem as if she had been in the business industry before, but people dress a certain way to look the part for the interview. "How old are you? We need suitable people for the position you might receive.." He says, hoping her response would be valid.

"I'm 23, sir." Remi replies.

Chairman Hamada smiles. A young woman that fit the description the chairman had in mind. "Have you ever been assigned to work for someone before?" Remi declines the question, she then sees the Chairman smile even wider as he called someone into his office.

"Yamato, come to my office please."

Remi slightly turned her head, after a moment of silence, she saw Yamato walk in the office with that blank and nonchalant aura beaming from his build.

"Yes, father?" Yamato didn't even acknowledge Remi standing there.

"You now have your own personal assistant." Remi widened her eyes, hearing that instantly turned on an adrenaline rush throughout her body. But she had to stay professional. Yamato glances around the office and started questioning, "Who?" the Chairman then pointed at Remi.

"Why her? She looks unprofessional and she can't even handle small crowds." Remi was immediately struck and offended by the unkind sentences coming from Yamato's mouth. How can he say something so cruel? Remi was standing right there, in the flesh, and he proceeds to talk about her this way. Maybe he's the unprofessional one.

"Don't talk that way, you've begged me for a personal assistant.. and now you're regretting it?"

They went back and forth momentarily, and Remi stood there, taking in what was happening. The argument would be perfect for a journal entry to put on the internet, but she was supposed to undercover, not noticeable.

"Fine! But I'm telling you, she won't be any use to me." Yamato storms out the office. Chairman Hamada seemed distressed and annoyed. Remi still stood there silently as she waited to see if there her rehearsals were still needed for this interview.

The chairman glances up at her. "Sorry about that.. you're going to be Yamato's assistant. You basically do what he tells you to and you make sure he's on time with everything I send him, okay?" Remi smiles widely and nodded.

"Of course! I'll do my best." She turned, leaving the office. She opened the door to see that extremely long and hallow corridor again. Remi then darted her attention to the secretary sitting at the desk, they smile at one another as Remi proceeded to head back to the elevator.

There was nothing but silence and the faint clicking of her heels. She made it to the elevator, about to press the lobby button, but someone rushed to the doors and put their hand between them, making the doors open back up again.

Yamato stood in between the elevator frame as he was attempting to catch his breath. "You didn't see me?" He breathlessly questioned. Remi denied with a neutral look around her face. Yamato became annoyed as he joined Remi in the elevator.

The doors finally closed, embracing the silence between them. Remi glances around the elevator as she wasn't sure if she should begin a conversation with Yamato. And Yamato stood there, looking straight ahead. Remi felt a vibrating sensation in her pocket. She pulled her phone out to see her supervisor was calling, Remi slightly glances over at Yamato as she looked back at her phone and decided to answer it.

"Hey... is it better if I text you? I'm doing something right now." Remi knew if her and Kami talked at this moment, their cover would be blown and Yamato would either report Remi to his father or worse. Remi immediately hung up the phone and went to her messages.

Their messages basically consisted of Remi mentioning that she received the job, and she was assigned to working with Yamato. Remi was supposed to receive a position to work around the Hamada building. But Kami was going to somehow make it work and report it to their boss.

Their conversation ended, and Remi looked up to see Yamato standing closely next to her. "I wasn't looking at your messages.. so don't bother." He says as Remi put a smile on her face.

"I never even mentioned you looking at my messages.. so were you?" Yamato scoffs, crossing his arms at her outrageous statement. "No.. I mean, why would I?" The lie was beaming around him and it was easy to notice. But Remi didn't take the conversation too further as she just smiled and left it where it was.

ding!

Remi stood in silence as she admired the company. She felt happy that she worked here, but it made her sad that her position wouldn't be used for long. She finished daydreaming as she realized Yamato leaving the building.

Remi chases after him. "Mr. Hamada!" She calls out, he halted and turned around to see Remi scurrying down the pathway carefully since she decided to wear heels. She finally reached him, but she was out of breath.

"Where.. where can I meet you on the days you need me to assist?" She breathlessly questions.

Yamato looked down at her. She was serious, and she seemed desperate. "Here. We can communicate better that way.. not saying that we'll have to, but.." Yamato takes her phone from her pocket and begins putting his number into her contacts.

He handed her back the phone, entering his personal transportation car. Remi stood there without a way to manage her sentences as she watches the car drive away.

Remi then looked down at her phone, feeling the vibration of a notification. She glances at her messages to see that Yamato had sent his home address to her. She stood in amazement as she took in the kindness that he was showing her at the moment.

"I might keep this job.."
